A linguistics expert believes the man who threatens the West in an Islamic State video purportedly showing the beheading of 21 Coptic Christians was educated in the United States. But Erick Thomas, a professor of acoustics and dialects at North Carolina State University, says it's unclear whether the mysterious, shrouded figure in the video released on Sunday is from the U.S.

I honestly don't understand why people would do this, kill innocent people for no reason really? it does not make any since to me. and the fact that he may be american and is killing Americans, what could we have possibly done to him to make him want to do this?? i really feel bad for the people whom live over there and have the same religion as Isis members, i'm sure there not all bad.. it must really be quite an embarrassment.

I think North Korea was trying to taunt Japan in a way. The missile flew only over the airspace, instead of being a direct hit on their soil.

I think we should take action to this because they could be testing nukular missiles to use against the U.S.A

News like this honestly makes me fear for my safety in America. Should I be worried about the possibility of a nuclear attack during my lifetime? Thinking about moving to Norway or Nepal

This is an issue that Trump is facing well I think. He says his point of view on it and supports it with facts and things he has seen.

Trump doesn't seem to know when to stay quite and to keep his mouth shut instead of constantly going and the never ending tweeting.

As a person with a family of immigrants, I believe that seeing "Columbus Day" isn't correct and better off with calling it Indigenous peoples' day due to Native Americans already living throughout the entirety of the North American continent. I wanna know if other people see it as Columbus Day of Indigenous peoples day.

I think we should start sharing who all these people part of American history really were because growing up, social studies class always made it seem like Columbus was a hero that discovered a continent and came and had a party with the native Americans where they ate turkey which is why we now have thanksgiving. I think we deserved to know the truth.

The idea that we should continue to celebrate this racist colonizer as a hero is absurd. Instead honor Indigenous people and their culture. Altogether Columbus was a person who should not be memorialized and celebrated as his actions against Native Americans are simply atrocious
