i think the government is becoming to corrupt and that with the shut down they are showing weakness and that it could be a start of a possible war between the countries
(CNN) -- An operation targeting al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula is under way in Abyan and Shabwa, Yemen, a high-level Yemeni government official who is being briefed on the strikes told CNN on Monday. The official said that the scale of the strikes against AQAP is "massive and unprecedented" and that at least 30 militants have been killed.
It's surprising how we've been pulled back with involvements with cases like these. And also the fact that it was an organization/group/etc. we went after before adds on to the surprise of our current involvement. Back in early 2000's we were fighting wars, now we're just planning defense without using our troops.

Prime Minister David Cameron urged Scottish voters Monday not to let their dissatisfaction with his government lead them to opt out of the U.K. "Please don't think: 'I'm frustrated with politics right now, so I'll walk out the door and never come back," he said, according to the Guardian.
A man is being treated in isolation in Hawaii for what health officials say is a potential Ebola case, local ABC affiliate KITV reported Thursday, though he could be sick with some other ailment. Authorities stress that they are being especially cautious amid concerns over the deadly virus, two days after the first confirmed case in the United States was identified in Texas.
The Pope made the unscheduled detour to the Little Sisters of the Poor residence after he gave a canonization mass nearby, a visit even the nuns did not know about until that day. The Vatican's spokesman, the Rev. Federico Lombardi, told reporters that the visit was made "as a sign of support for them."
People are getting really ridiculous with this prayer thing. If you don't agree, don't say "Amen". It's the same as if you don't like the pledge of allegiance and so you don't put your hand over your heart but you stand. Just deal with it. We have no choice but to hear the pledge, so you shouldn't make a big deal about something that has always gone on and has never harmed anyone.
Washington (CNN) -- Finger pointing over the technical blunders that gummed up the Obamacare website launch will ensue on Thursday, it appears. Contractors who helped develop the embattled HealthCare.gov website blame each other and the government, but not themselves, in testimony prepared for the first congressional hearing on the problems engulfing the online enrollment system.
Obama care seems to be failing and no one is really in favor of this bill. Many democrats are not even supporting Obama care. And the website is a complete failure.
The bigger fear for Democrats is that public sentiment will side with Republicans who have warned for four years that Obamacare amounted to big government run amok, resulting in an unmanageable new bureaucracy.
Well, I hoped things work out in a way that we are actually working together to make the country better for the people and the economy. Obama said in his election speech that we were no longer the red and blue states but the United states of America. I really don't see that happening. A kingdom divided only destroys itself.

This case is NOT about the S.L.A.P.S test to decide if something is obscene (Serious Literary, Artistic, Political, Scientific value). So anyway, different sort of slap... Do you think the school reacted with an appropriate punishment?
No I don't believe that the school should have expelled him. Students get into fist fights, but sometimes only get suspended. He should be punished, but I think they went a little too far.
I feel the school went a little overboard on the punishment, but then again it shows other teens that slapping someone in the face is not okay, and is not a joking matter.
Seems to me that this punishment was cruel and a little excessive. I do agree that he needs some sort of punishment to learn from it but the one he received took things to far.
I think that the CIA should be supported and not talked down on because of these incidents. I think that the CIA has to go through deep measures to protect citizens of the U.S and the things they do shouldn't be questioned.
Justices will hear oral arguments in a case challenging a central provision of President Barack Obama's signature health care law. They'll focus on just a single section of the law governing the establishment of so-called health exchanges. But while the scope may be narrow, the stakes are enormous.
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Bill Clinton had a strategy when he faced the kind of difficult moment his wife is enduring now. He would throw himself into campaigning or his work. Let the press and his partisan pursuers bleat, he was going to return to important issues.
