A Philadelphia abortion provider who killed babies by cutting their spinal cords with scissors was found guilty of first-degree murder on Monday.

This is crazy and absurd!! Who cuts the spinal cord?!

The parents should be charged. If they are going to own any guns while having children living with them in the house, they should be responsible enough to put the guns in a locked gun cabinet or safe. Or simply just put the gun in a place the the kids can't access. It's common sense. This shouldn't have happened and in my mind the parents are the ones to blame.

This is just awful. The parents really should have A) locked their guns up, and B) taught their children gun safety (or to not mess with a gun at all) if they planned on keeping a loaded rifle in the house. That is just stupid.

Was there no one else around to see this? The fact that the father had to come and get the guy, instead of a teacher or another adult that was near by, worries me. Everyone should be watching out for the kids, making the school a more safe environment.

I agree with Meghan in a way. The man could have been armed, and if he were approached the 10 year old would have been in greater danger. But, I also can not wrap my head around the fact that the father AND sister of the child were sitting there and did not call the police until after the girl got away. What were they going to do if he actually took her?

And I thought the NRA was crazy when their phone calls started with "I'm so-and-so, and I'm a gun-totin' Texan." Their list is both foolish and callous. Adding the American Trauma Society to their list? The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence? It almost seems like the NRA wants an increase in violent crimes, if you look at their list. Possibly an increase in violent crimes against women, as it looks like they've included every women's association in the US.

Being intoxicated or aggravated doesn't give anyone the right to use racial terms towards anyone. And, they don't have the right to slap a child, either. I think this man deserves hate mail.

This story is interesting..if he was intoxicated of any sort, that doesn't make it okay to use the language he supposedly did or hit a child. That's why I don't think it should be allowed to have alcoholic beverages on a plane. People take advantage of it, and you never know what could happen..much like what he's being accused. I think he deserves the "hate mail" he's getting!

This is wrong because a lot of baby's are not cute when they are born but at the same time some are.

Lololololol. What? Just because the woman is "ugly" doesn't mean the baby's appearance is entirely her fault. It was his sperm along with her egg. His DNA and hers. Wouldn't that make him partially responsible? This case shouldn't have even been allowed to go to court.

If Ron Paul knew when to shut up he would have been president. Instead he makes a completely good point then keeps talking and it makes him sound crazy.

I think that a 16 page speech is a little much, even for a farewell speech. I do not think that it was very smart of him to bash on the government so much. The government is not at its best point but he is making it sound like it is the worst. Casey is right, Ron Paul did make a good point though.

I think that is crazy, why people think that some people would choose to be tortured everyday is beyond me. I mean come on. I think this issue should just resolve like now, yes I understand that in the bible it says that homosexuality is a sin. But God made you who you are. People have to understand that, obviously there is a plan, it just hasn't showed itself to everyone yet. Being Homosexual is a life, if a Heterosexual stepped into a Homosexual's life for one day they would understand that they go through so much crap constantly. I think if it was just passed as a law people would forget about it. And everything in the world would be a lot less hectic. P.S.... I love the translation at the bottom!! That is hilarious!! :D

In all reality..... If Religion is your reason to say, "Being gay is not okay," then you really need to know your history. First, Christmas, if I recall the documentary that I watched not to long ago correctly, was a time for grown men to beat there wives, and go out and have "gay sex" with each other? So, if you denounce gay marriage because of Catholicism, or Christianity, you just denounced Christmas. Second, for those of you who are Hindustan, you have a celebrated holiday that is for 2 guys, and 1 girl, to "get it on." It's called Karma Sutra. Yeah, religion should not be allowed to interfere in America's choice to permit/deny gay marriage, and not just for those 2 reasons. (Those reasons being that the religions allow it themselves, yet say it is not okay.) Let's just read out constitution. We've all heard, "Freedom of Religion," before, right? Well, right there, religion should not be allowed to found a reason as to deny gay relationships. To add, let us look at the Declaration of Independence, "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Pursuit of happiness includes marriage correct? If so, define marriage Religion definition: The formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife. Actual definition: Marriage is a social union or legal contract between people called spouses that creates kinship. Just by out constitutional freedoms, and foundations, most of it points in the direction of gay marriage should be legal, which Jenny, is why I agree with you. As for being gay being something you can fix, don't think so. I don't see people changing there skin color. (Except Micheal Jackson, but we all still know that he was not as light-toned as that.) Do you see people choosing there eye color? Either that is one expensive (or failed) surgery, or it does not happen. Religion is based off of your own personal faith and beliefs and with so many different versions and beliefs you can't let one person say what it means and stereotype that religion. You also have to consider the fact that things change with time, people evolve and so do thoughts. Like Snider showed in the video, we once thought that racism was right and accepting other nationalities was against their religion.

As I have said before, religion should have no influence when it comes to government policy. As for the bible, I could point out many things wrong with the bible, and the idea that Christianity not supporting gay relationships. I will not, simply out of the urge as to not ruin peoples views on religion. What I will say, is that the bible should also have no say on our government as well. Religion should, and is, also limited in the US, contrary to popular belief. Religion has been limited to 1st, no human sacrifice. (We don't need them crazy beheading Aztec's coming in and just start slicing peoples heads off right?) Second, separation of church and state. That right there means religion is not allowed to say, "You can't be gay, ban gay marriage." (And oddly, it still managed to happen.) I'm really looking forward to the supreme courts ruling on this, as long as they decide to take the case.

re:Tanner I am not betting on a 3rd party win, but I do think this will be a big year for their vote totals. Technically Abraham Lincoln was a 3rd party (split from the Whigs to form the Republican party)

Donald Trump promises some crazy ideas, such as the wall. I don't believe that Trump will ever be able to accomplish that, he MIGHT be able to improve border control, but he cant build a wall.

I agree with Deven because anybody could've come up with that idea. Everybody who is on Trump's side thinks it's a good idea because trump came up with it, but if Hilary were to come up with this idea, those people would think it's stupid. Anybody could've come up with that. There are better ideas and all he thought of was a wall.

I feel like race is only a problem when an incident has been taken out of proportion, if something happens to a white person not many people care but if a black person gets hurt everybody goes crazy, so people just need to chill, people normally don't intentionally try and hurt another person, accidents occur people just need to think more rationally rather than personally.

It is so crazy how around the world women are held to higher or even lower expectations when it comes to, education, clothing, physically beauty and intelligence. How is it even possible to imagine a world where the clothes you wear lands you into jail? There is justice that needs to be served her to have an innocent women in jail. There has to be something that is done for the world when it comes to woman suffrage. The hard part isn't going through with a plan to do that, the hardest part is finding a plan-- to do just that.

It is fun to look at the graph of Apple's stocks, you can see where new products were announced and other major events like the passing of Steve Jobs. But reaching $500 a stock is amazing, then you compare it to Microsoft's stock of $32ish and you laugh at that company.

You have to look at the number of shares not the value. While Microsoft is only $32 a share, there are far more shares. By Microsoft splitting stock they can give more people the power to buy in. So in response to Brice stock price isn't important, it's stock history. I will admit Microsoft isn't as solid as Apple currently is but the $32 to $500 isn't a true reflection of the companies.

Even though Microsoft isn't that big and does not have that much money in shares, I would still go for Apple because if you have shares with Apple you can get a huge amount of money.

Sometimes it seems when rules are too rigidly enforced, silly situations like this make me wonder, - maybe re-word the rule rather than asking a person to change their name...

He uses the sign language sign for hunter, as in a person who goes out and hunts. He turned it into his name sign by crossing his fingers instead of leaving them flat. While I agree that the school over reacted and he shouldn't have to change it, I think the idea of him "Having to change his name," is a little bit of of a loaded statement. His name will still be Hunter if he changes his name sign it will just be expressed differently. Also according to my mom, who works very closely with many deaf people every day, he may choose to change it later in life once he gets older because this name sign was chosen by his parents and he might not like it.
