Yemeni officials said Saudi airstrikes targeting a military base on Tuesday hit a nearby school, injuring at least a half dozen students.

The school wasn't their main attack. They killed over 100 people in a two week time frame.

At least 74 children are known to have been killed and 44 children maimed since the fighting began on March 26, UNICEF said Monday in a statement. That did not include the children reportedly killed Tuesday in Maitam.

Do you guys think he was justified for doing this?

I feel like there were probably better ways to deal with the self defense act rather than going straight to an airstrike. It also makes it a little unsettling that Biden didn't have a conversation about it with other congress members and just did it.

I think he shouldn't have done this and taking this action this early into his presidency shows somewhat of a disregard for some of the morals he touted himself on to even get elected. Even if he had found himself justified in doing this to say taking into account those morals he reached this conclusion to go there so quickly is disingenuos

New York (CNN) -- He's the war-ending President who, as of Tuesday, has ordered airstrikes in seven different countries (that we know of). President Barack Obama has always acknowledged there are times when military force is necessary. Even when he accepted his Nobel Peace Prize in 2009, he said there could be instances when war is "morally justified."

Washington (CNN) -- It was a speech that Barack Obama -- a war-stopping, Nobel Peace Prize-winning President -- never wanted to give. A year after he pulled back from threatened military attacks on Syria over chemical weapons, Obama told America he now would launch airstrikes against ISIS targets in the country wracked by civil war.

Abdirahman Sandhere, also known as "Ukash," and two other Al-Shabaab-affiliated associates were killed in a U.S. military airstrike in Somalia on Wednesday, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said in a statement. "Ukash's removal from the battlefield is a significant blow to al-Shabaab and reflects the painstaking work by our intelligence, military, and law enforcement professionals," Cook said.

Iran condemned the strike, according to foreign ministry spokesman Hussein Jaberi Ansari. But it was not immediately clear if the Iranian embassy was targeted or if it got struck unintentionally amid the broader conflict within Yemen.

"The attack, which hit a school in the town of Mansoura, where civilians had taken shelter on Tuesday night, was the second time in a week that Syrians had accused the United States of involvement in a strike that killed dozens of noncombatants."

Airstrikes don't know an innocent child from a dangerous ISIS member. These weapons are effective, but are quite a dangerous way to clear out areas populated with noncombatants. This story and stories like it are exactly why the US can be easily pinned as the bad guy. If you were a Syrian and your child was killed by US bombs, are you gonna be angry at the ISIS members who hid near you, or the people who murdered your child?
