I've been taking photographs for twenty years now, mostly for magazines and books. This blog is a diary of some sort. It speaks of the things I do, see or fancy in my daily life. Brad Elterman's career started with a borrowed camera at the age of 16. His first photo, of Bob Dylan performing onstage, was published in 1974. That lead to endless nights of covering the rock scene in Hollywood encompassing pop, punk and rock bands including the Faces with Rod Stewart, David Bowie, the Sex Pistols, the Runaways, Kiss, Queen, Blondie, the Ramones, the Bay City Rollers, Abba, Boney M, Kenny Rogers, The Who, Leif Garrett, Michael Jackson, etc.

CoBrA was formed thanks to the joining of forces of three experimental groups under the leadership of Christian Dotrement and Asger Jorn in 1948. The group took its name from the first letters of three prominent European cities - Copenhagen, Brussels, Amsterdam - and a manifest was drawn up and afterwards signed in Paris by the group's founding participants, Jorn, Dotrement, Noiret, Appel, Constant and Corneille, at a little café.

Karl Meersman (born 1961) is a Belgian editorial cartoonist, living in Sint-Niklaas. He is known for his weekly caricatures in the popular magazines Trends and Knack. Since 2004, Meersman lives with former VRT journalist Lies Martens

He was a star in his days, but now he seems to be largely forgotten, along with all the other heroes of the pop art movement. Still, Guy Peellaert made some pretty impressive paintings (the Rock Dreams series literally rocked), and the quintessential pop art comic, Pravda. And he was a Belgian, potferdekke !
