DxO FilmPack: 18 years of science dedicated to applying the most rigorous process for profiling and characterizing analog films, resulting in incredibly authentic renderings. In an effort to safeguard the technical heritage of analog photography, DxO searched for the last surviving copies of film rolls before they disappeared. The result was a collection of more than 80 legendary analog film stocks representing the photographic industry of the 20th century. Next, photos of a variety of different scenes were captured, both in the laboratory using test charts and in real-life situations, using dozens of carefully preserved analog films. Each film's response to camera settings and shooting conditions was carefully recorded. As a result, the DNA of each analog film stock has been preserved so that DxO FilmPack accurately reproduces their behavior.
