Hello! My name is Jillian and I am a senior at Penn State.
The saying, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is an inspirational quote that I can relate to. This can relate to anything in your life. In my experience, this relates to school and other hobbies that I have been involved in. I am one to complain about homework, a test, or a project if I don't like or understand it. Is it going to kill me? No. Once I have completed the task I feel like I did something amazing, and I am a better person because of it. In the various hobbies that I participate in, this quote will always stand by the sports I have played. I played soccer my entire life, and when the weather was terrible, or my team was down, or I was having an 'off' game, I always knew it would be okay. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is something that will say, hey, you can do it. It's not the end of the world, keep going. You'll be stronger when you finish.

We're using Popplet-- a great web 2.0. still trying to incorporate it in our website...It's easy to navigate and our students will be submitting their final project to us there. Other students will be able to comment on their image with just one click.

I agree with Carolyn--it seems as if you're jumping into the project right now. Maybe you could find some websites that help relate to art movements that can explain what it is in a different context. The theme is good though, good pictures to help motivate the students. I like how you are doing 4 different movements: Greek, baroque, realism and renaissance. My groups having a hard time with wix right now (making pictures links) but I know you're working on it! Also maybe add some pictures to your lesson page! It needs some "oomph". Good job though!

1. I love their theme, which is celebrate world art, where I am able to explore different countries. it's very simple to navigate, as well as read and understand. It seems to be age appropriate as well.
2. Their "Travel Journal" where they ask for a comment each day they work is a good idea. It will help the students think about what they're doing and why it's efficient. They also have a "Questions" tab, or "send us a postcard" where students are able to ask questions to Jenna and Danielle. Thats important because there will most likely be questions throughout the project.

4. The students are able to explore different countries art. I like the Holidays and Celebrations tab where they will edit it and show how different cultures work. Each lesson (in the process still) seems to be very organized as well.
