Open 1-to-1 is a not for profit organization that provides resources and support for schools that want to deploy 1-to-1 computer solutions. Our organization is comprised of school technologists, educators, consultants, vendors, and other parties which collaborate to provide a comprehensive set of solutions and services for the Open 1-to-1 community. The mission of this organization is to make 1-to-1 computing more affordable, and create solutions that further aid in learning and greater opportunities for students and their communities.

Instruct students that they have the entire class period today to work in groups or individually and find clippings that support or challenge this prompt.

App Inventor is a great tool to teach programming to high school students.  Google Intern, Michelle Hutton, created the following 6 week curriculum.  This curriculum is a project based curriculum that allows students to explore the world of computer science through the creation of smartphone apps.

Now that we do not feel the need to print posters, we can make them digital and make them much larger.  They are perfect for projecting or sharing as digital files.  Data visualizations and infographics are great teaching and learning tools. This resource was created and shared by Marie Caldwell.

Livebinders are great for various repositories.  This resource is full of ideas and examples of what makes great teachers and principals.  Definitely worth sharing. If we can see the target, we can get people to the goal(s).
