"
Welcome to the Museum of Mathematics!
Mathematics illuminates the patterns and structures all around us. Our dynamic exhibits and programs will stimulate inquiry, spark curiosity, and reveal the wonders of mathematics. The Museum will have its grand opening in 2012 at 11 East 26th Street in Manhattan."
The aim of the site is to provide an environment where people can dictate the direction of their learning
offering a range of interactive tools, links and resources. Many pupils have ability to further themselves,
demonstrate the desire to learn and show a passion to achieve yet their needs are often not met
in the busy classroom.
The videos, interactive apps and resources will allow you to take control of your education and offer a
chance to find a medium and speed most suited to your learning style.

"There are 366 different Starters of The Day. They are activities designed for KS3 pupils to work on at the beginning of their Maths Lesson. The format lends itself to be projected from a data projector or used on an interactive whiteboard. A starter will give your lesson a focused beginning and time to attend to the other little tasks you have to do at the beginning of the lesson such as calling the register and preparing for the rest of the lesson. Yenka Mathematics lets you experiment easily with 3D mathematical models, to learn about statistics, probability, geometry and coordinates.
It can be used as a flexible demonstration tool - for example, on a whiteboard. Alternatively, students can use Yenka themselves, to learn by experimenting in Yenka's 3D world.
There's a wide range of ready-made lessons and activities that you can use in your lessons, and a set of training videos to help you get started.
And teachers and students can all use the full version of Yenka Mathematics at home, free of charge.
