During the coronavirus lockdown, drivers were granted a six-month extension to their MOT certificates in March. Now the UK government has made an announcement regarding mandatory MOT test - it is being reintroduced from 1st August 2020. With lockdown relaxation, there has been a rise in the number of drivers returning on roads. It has prompted roads minister Baroness Vere to prepone the cut-off date from September 30th.
