Do More to Captialize on Web Traffic - 0 views

According to the research carried out by James Oldroyd, Ph.D of Ohio State University, and David Elkington, CEO of InsideSales.com, companies which rely on web-generated leads aren't doing enough to convert visitors into sales. They have reached their conclusion after thoroughly reviewing three years of data of companies that use web-generated leads. Their data includes 15,000 leads and over 100,000 call attempts. They discovered companies do not take advantage of web-generated leads because they fail to take adequate action. They listed three reasons why companies fail. They discovered 55% of companies do not respond at all. Another reason why companies are falling behind is that their response time is very poor. In fact, it takes an average 44 hours to respond to leads! On top of it, they don't try hard enough. On average, a company makes only 1.5 call attempts! How will they make any sale when they give up so easily?

Businesses are beginning to face the harsh reality that simply getting hits on their website is getting them nowhere. A business employs advertising campaigns to market their company and product offerings to a wider audience. They believe the more interest they will generate, the more their clientele will increase. In order to advertise, a company makes use of the traditional means of advertising such as television, radio, prints and outdoor hoardings. Some take it a step further by using email marketing and social media to advertise. The use of various platforms has caused people to take notice but simply getting potential customers to the website is not enough.

Don't Lose At-Risk Customers - 0 views

As more offline businesses convert their operations to online, competition has grown fiercely tough. With advances in technology and distribution, online businesses find it difficult to create differentiation amongst themselves and their competitors. They turn to perpetual discounting to win customers even though a majority of industries cannot afford to compete on economies of scale. The biggest drawback of their strategy is that online businesses have not experienced improved customer loyalty and retention. Many customers have become defected as they are bounce from one website to another. Organizations have to find a way to stop at-risk customers before it's too late.
