The UK Home Office has announced some changes to the UK immigration law regarding the passing of British citizenship to children who were born from a British father out of wedlock. That law is taking effect on 6 April 2015. The UK Immigration Law before July 2006 stated that children could only acquire British citizenship through their father if their parents were married to each other.

According to Chris Hibbard, the answer to that question is an emphatic yes. Chris recently learned of this law from one of the Supervisory Wildlife Biologists with Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The law reads as follows...
