annotation software ideas?

Comments:

Hi all,

I am teaching persuasive language analysis and would like to encourage students to annotate effectively.
Does anyone know any good software, or online tools, that can be used for annotation (apart from 'comments' in Word)?

Karlee - msbaker zealouslessons

Greetings,

I use Snagit software for annotations (www.techsmith.com/Snagit) or Notateit (www.notateit.com). They have some slight differences so it depends what you are attempting to do. Snagit is good for preplanned annotations while Notateit offers onscreen annotations in real time that can be saved.

Hope this helps.

Jeanette

msbaker zealouslessons wrote:
> Hi all,
>
> I am teaching persuasive language analysis and would like to encourage students to annotate effectively.
> Does anyone know any good software, or online tools, that can be used for annotation (apart from 'comments' in Word)?
>
> Karlee - Jeanette Lans

Thanks Todd,

The day I can convince my IT administrator that facebook is a great Web 2.0 tool will be a very happy one indeed!

Thanks all - I've decided to go with co-ment. The students found it clear and simple to use, and I like the way it keeps the annotations in a list down the side. It's not as 'organic' as sticky notes or mind-map type tools, but it means you can keep track easily as the examples stack up.

Karlee :)

Todd Finley wrote:
> The video annotation feature of Facebook is fast.
> msbaker zealouslessons wrote:
> > Hi all,
> >
> > I am teaching persuasive language analysis and would like to encourage students to annotate effectively.
> > Does anyone know any good software, or online tools, that can be used for annotation (apart from 'comments' in Word)?
> >
> > Karlee - msbaker zealouslessons

I know! To give them freedom, I made my life easier by ordering an essay on the service, I have blended learning so I have this right. The quality of work was worth every penny spent. While availability is always an issue, the quality of the work produced by this service is not compromised by the cost. I greatly appreciate the effort put into producing well-written and carefully crafted essays and believe that the cost was well worth the level of knowledge and professionalism displayed throughout the process. Being a writer helped me improve my grades, which was worth the investment. - dougswarners

Tags: no_tag

by: msbaker zealouslessons

Examples of Linking Verbs

Comments:

"A linking verb connects the subject with a word that gives information about the subject, such as a condition or relationship. They do not show any action; but, they link the subject with the rest of the sentence. For example, in the sentence "They are a problem," the word "are" is the linking verb that connects "they" and "problem" to show the relationship between the two words." - Sharon Elin

Tags: grammar, english, verb, grammar_verb-linking

by: Sharon Elin

Comments:

"One important form of digital reading is reading ebooks. There are actually several resources online which provide both premium and free ebooks to readers. I have dome some laborious search into these resources and come up with the list below. This list features only platforms that provide free ebooks or a mixture of free and premium (freemium) eBooks. The purpose behind this compilation is to provide teachers and eventually students with trusted resources where they can search for and read free ebooks." - Sharon Elin

Tags: ereader, ebooks, kindle, nook, reading, book_list, book_report, english, resources

by: Sharon Elin

Comments:

"Newslo is the first hybrid News/Satire platform on the web. Readers come to us for a unique brand of entertainment and information that is enhanced by features like our fact-button, which allows readers to find what is fact and what is satire.

Newslo’s “No Need to Satirize” brings you completely factual stories that are so ridiculous, they don’t need our trademark touch.
