Chris Brogan on How to Build a Network of Value | Forbes - 0 views

  • It’s Not About You. How exactly did Chris move from his first 100 subscribers to having hundreds of thousands of readers? “The very specific thing I can point to,” he says, “is the moment I started writing for other people instead of myself. It was when I started writing to be helpful, instead of giving my opinion.” For example, he says, you could write a blog post with your take on a new Facebook feature – or, far better, you could write a post about ways that readers can use that new feature. “It’s when I’m helpful that people resonate with it,” says Brogan. “The more I equip you for your success, the more you keep coming back – and bringing someone.”

Now for the interesting part, Don Kyatt's Melbourne head office said that plans were underway to manufacture a fully splined version of the 100 series clutch hub but it won't be available for at least a year. Other items available to beef up the gearbox are the hardened 1st and 5th gear thrust washers, the metal cylindrical spacer and the fully splined 5th gear. I was also informed that it may be prudent to replace the retaining plate securing the output shaft bearing - 333151-35020 ($52 inc).

Clutch Upgrade for 100 Series Landcruiser @ ExplorOz Forum - 0 views

  • Ive just fitted a Exedy Safari tuff clutch to our cruiser, awsome clutch and no shudder.Ive never heard any bad reports about one. Cost for clutch was around $750.Not sure on fitting costs as I fitted it myself.
  • What ever you go for just make sure it's a heavy duty one
  • 4terrain heavy duty clutch, the clutch itself cost $800, $75 for a flywheel machine, $55 for a new spigot and around $400 for labour, all up around $1300. Its plenty of cash but like you said once its done, it wont need to be done for many k's and you wont have it in the back of your mind.

Clutch's. 4Terrain vs Genuine - Perth4x4.net Forums - 0 views

  • i did the same research a while ago for my patrol. dont realy now what cruiser clutches are like but after market was the go for a patrol. i used a 4terrain as a lot of people that i spoke to said excedy (safari) clutches are overrated lots of people use them sucessfuly but the 4terrain is superior. sorry i cant give you a real world example as my shortys not finished yet and hasnt been driven.
  • Saffari Tuff has 25% more clamp capacity with Spheroidal graphite anti burst casting & is Anodized for maximum corrosion resistance . It has a heavyer disc with standard linnings. 4 Terrain has 35% more clamp capacity and is engineered to give good pedal feel. it also has Spheroidal graphite anti burst casting & is Anodized for maximum corrosion resistance . The difference with the 4 Terrain disc is it is a heavy disc with Aramide button linnings on the flywheel side. the button configuration increases the torque capacity even more and the linnings disipate heat extreamly well and helps the clutch last mutch longer than standard linnings.

Tofu, simple pleasures of Vietnamese cuisines - Vacations to Vietnam - 0 views

  •
Now in my thirties, I have clear memories of curling up on my grandfather's lap, back when I was a small child. He'd sit on a old wooden bed and smoke a china bowl pope, his ancient shriveled hands breaking grilled tofu into pieces and dipping the morsels into salt.

Upgrading driving lights,,,, more confused than ever. @ ExplorOz Forum - 0 views

  • I have a set of 2003 vintage IPF900's and they added no value to my 200 series cruiser high beam, could barely tell if they were on :( So, with little to lose, I bought a set of H3 HID's in a 55W 4300K kit digital slimline ballast, specifically for the IPF900's from Ebay - the ballasts all fit inside the spottie case. It was only ~$120 and I wasn'texpecting too much. Well I cannot believe the difference in performance :) When I turn off my HID's, its like I switched off all my lights, the difference is that much. My biggest regret is that I did not do this years ago!
