Diigo 5.1.0.32 causing ie9 to crash - 43 views

5.1.0.32 toolbar ie9 crash

    Diigo 5.1.0.32 toolbar; ie9; Win 7 Ultimate 64.

I've been battling this problem for a long time across several computers and wanted to know if anyone else has seen this. For some reason a conflict develops between the Diigo toolbar and ie9 causing ie9 to go into a never ending loop of 'Internet Explorer has stopped working', followed by a window restart, followed by ie crashing again. Only way I can stop it is to kill it in task manager.

If I disable diigo toolbar in control panel, reinstall it, then it works OK, until "something" happens and the error starts all over again. I haven't been able to figure out any rhyme or reason to what triggers the failure mode, but once it happens, the only way out that I've found is to disable the plugin and reinstall.

    Here's the app crash log:

Hi Sandy... I uninstalled Diigo toolbar and reinstalled again and so am not currently experiencing the problem. This is what I have to do everytime it happens... uninstall and reinstall. Are you wanting me to try installing and using diigolet when I experience the problem (without uninstalling the toolbar) to see if diigolet works while the toolbar doesn't?

Thanks Sandy... I can try the diigolet, but the functionality is lower than the toolbar and not as nice to use.

This crash seems to be a definate problem with diigo toolbar. I've had the crash on ie8, ie9, Vista 32, Win 7 32, and Win 7 64. What I would like is rather than ignoring this problem and just switching to a different product, I would like to help debug the problem with the toolbar to fix it and make your diigo product better. What can we do toward that goal?
