Start Menu and Classic Start Menu Windows XP offers 2 types of start menu 1. Regular Start Menu 2. Classic Start Menu The difference between both Classic start menu will not have the My computer / My documents /My Music links inside the start menu But the regular or the new Start Menu will have all these and it will not display the My computer and My documents Icon in the desktop. So when you check your email, actually your friends or contacts can see you "online and open for chat". You may not want to chat with them, but if they send a message, Gmail pops with their message and most of the time you can not avoid answering them. So If you do not want Gmail feature, you can disable it by doing the following. Sign in to Gmail account Go to the bottom of the page (See the screen shot for example) You will see "Turn on chat" or "Turn Off chat" link just press that and you can disable or enable the chat feature.

Here is an example I want to search for Camera so I search for camera in google and results are below. But It shows lots of Digital camera which I do not want. If you want to find the exact phrase like Cat and dog live together, add the quotation mark at both end like this "Cat and dog live together" Now Google will only bring the results that are exactly matches the 2 words.
