Apple today announced financial results for its fiscal 2009 first quarter ended December 27, 2008. The Company posted record revenue of $10.17 billion and record net quarterly profit of $1.61 billion, or $1.78 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $9.6 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.58 billion, or $1.76 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 34.7 percent, equal to the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 46 percent of the quarter's revenue.

Apple released their third quarter earnings today and needless to say, especially because of the recession, their numbers are incredible.

LAS VEGAS-BlueStacks isn't a household name, but it's about to become arguably one of the most useful pieces of preinstalled software on Windows 8 computers. At the 2012 Consumer Electronic Show here today, BlueStacks revealed a functional demo that runs Android apps of all kinds on Windows 8. This follows last year's debut of the software and release as a rough alpha for Windows 7, but it comes with a piece of unexpected news. The software maker has been in talks with hardware manufacturers to ship the program preinstalled on Windows 8. A beta of theWindows 7 version was also cagily given a release date of sometime before the second quarter of 2012.

Another quarter and another hope that Adobe's Flash will someday make an appearance on Apple's iPhone.

In the U.S., the oft-touted "halo effect" from Apple's iPods and iPhones looks to be encouraging consumers to try the company's computers as well. Apple saw U.S. sales jump 38.1% in the quarter, according to Gartner (31.7% says IDC), pushing the company into third place, behind Dell and HP, with an 8.5% market share, compared to 6.4% last year.

Apple recently launched iPhone 7 series with number of enhancement from iPhone 6 series. The timing was right as its biggest competitor in premium sector struggled to fix Samsung Note 7 battery blast issue. Post launch iPhone 7 series received very well by the buyers and expecting that it will break all records during holiday filled quarter.

A whole lot has been happening in iPhone-land lately. The 3G iPhone is now available unlocked…in China. If you want to write a nasty note about an iPhone Application, you're going to have to pay for it first. Lastly, Apple has lowered the number of iPhones it will manufacture this year, but has raised the number it thinks it will sell.

T-Mobile's launch of the Dream - a phone made by HTC and the first on the market to run Google's Android software - likely won't be accompanied by the mad rush that surrounded Apple's introduction of the iPhone.

Reuters reports that the Apple iPhone 3G has been voted Gadget of the year by the readers of Stuff magazine. Apparently the Apple iPhone 3G out-beat the likes of Microsoft's Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii Fit add-on, and B&W Zeppelin iPod speakers.
