To the Apple's windows management system i.e. Expose, Snow Leopard has added various new functions. As you were only able to view all the open windows as thumbnails on the desktop, the added feature of Expose now displays them as Dock icon. Expose will now display all the open documents by just clicking and holding the Microsoft Word icon in the Dock.

Apple Inc.'s operating system market share slipped last month as Microsoft Corp.'s Windows halted its slide for only the fourth time in the past 12 months, a research company reported. In July, Apple's Mac OS X powered 7.76% of the computers that accessed the 40,000 sites Net Applications monitors for its clients, the company said Friday. The Mac's share of the OS market was down 0.18 percentage points from June's 7.94% and was lower than May's 7.83%. Windows, meanwhile, posted a small gain in overall share, climbing 0.13 percentage points from June's 90.89% to end July with 91.02%

According to the X-Force 2008 Trend & Risk Report (PDF) released early this year, Mac OS X Server and Mac OS X top the list of operating systems with the most disclosed vulnerabilities for 2008. Each accounts for 14.3 percent, and has been in the top five in each of the last three years. Rounding out the top five were: Linux Kernel at 10.9 percent, Sun Solaris at 7.3 percent, and Microsoft Windows XP at 5.5 percent. The purpose of this data is to compare the total number of disclosed vulnerabilities with each individual operating system. Vulnerability data is submitted to the Mitre Corp. and then appears in the CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) List.
