Buy.com is offering iPhon 3G, "officially" unlocked, for $799. We're not sure if these are imported units from markets like Hong Kong or Taiwan, where Apple themselves sells unlocked units, or what the deal is, or if $799 is even a deal for you to not have to worry about Jailbreaking or cat and mouse games.

With all the unsubstantiated rumors buzzing about a new iPhone and its alleged features, it's becoming increasingly apparent that Apple will launch some sort of new or upgraded device very, very soon - perhaps even at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) June 8-12 in San Francisco, or maybe later this summer in a separate announcement.

It does a great job at making battery life a non-issue, even during five hours of intense GPS use.)

The United States price is even lower, but greatly affected by the Dollar - Euro exchange rate.
