Apple recently revealed that "Revenge" is the third most popular free application on its App Store, and Tapulous Chief Executive Bart Decrem says half a million people play it every week since it debuted last summer.

Apple has taken a bit of a break following the last round of iPhone 3G releases in late September, but the iPhone 3G may appear in a few more countries before the end of the year. Late last week and over the weekend, two carriers announced that they have signed deals with Apple to distribute the iPhone 3G. Specifically, carriers in Thailand and Taiwan said that they have signed deals with Apple, although the details differ somewhat.

Last week, I took a look at the application for the iPhone made for the social voting site Reddit. Appropriately called 'reddit," though not an official app, it does a nice job of showcasing and giving you access to the most popular stories on Reddit at any given time. One feature it did not have however, was the ability to vote on stories. A new app, Satellite, another application built for Reddit, set to be released shortly, brings this feature.

Actually, it was his positive experiences with the iPhone 3G that tipped me over the edge to go get one at my local Apple store.
