For years, runners have been able to take advantage of Nike+, a nifty accessory that lets your iPod communicate with your shoes to turn it into a personal running coach of sorts. Soon, cyclists will have access to a tool that's in the same vein as Nike+, but far more powerful.

My buddy Joel Evans from Geek.com and I both waited in line for the original iPhone in 2007, but this year Joel jumped on the new iPhone 3G at launch while I waited 3 weeks. Actually, it was his positive experiences with the iPhone 3G that tipped me over the edge to go get one at my local Apple store.

Google (NSDQ:GOOG)'s Android operating system is rapidly gaining mindshare among smartphone users. So much mindshare, in fact, that one Web traffic researcher is declaring that Android has finally been able to distract potential smartphone users from Apple (NSDQ:AAPL)'s iPhone juggernaut.
