For hardcore gamers, the iPhone hasn't had much to offer. The games are mostly light-hearted, casual games that you play when you need a short distraction. They're also a big compromise compared to what you can play on traditional game platforms.

Alot of gamers is excited on this latest UMD-less PSP. I think it should feature like 15GB Memory, and a UMD drive that hooks up via USB so you can copy your UMDs to the memory (stick).

Rumour has it Apple will open up the iPhone App Store to games costing around $19.99, but only for big name publishers, like GameLoft and EA. Such a price point would end up competing with Nintendo DS and lower-end PSP titles.

This month, Apple iPhone 3G users will be offered a chance to immerse themselves in the world of one of this year's biggest comic book movies.

Codemasters F1 2009 for the PSP and Wii is also heading to Apple's iPhone. New screenshots were released for the mobile version of the game.
