The rumors of Apple releasing an iPhone Nano are still going strong, but they remain just rumors. You can own a miniature iPhone right now if you don't mind that it's a cheap Chinese knock-off. The CECT m188 clones the look and menus of the original iPhone in a package that's just 86mm x 48mm x 11mm. Or about the size of a credit card.

Will the iPhone 3.0 finally be able to do cut and paste? | iPhone News Updated - 0 views

  •
Yes, it will. And what better way to demonstrate the most obviously "missing" feature on the iPhone than by booking a flight that would get you Lost? "I'm going to reserve a seat on Oceanic flight 815," said Scott Forstall, the senior vice-president of Apple's iPhone software development, on Tuesday as he showed off the method by which one can highlight text in an email - and from there choose cut, copy or paste. The fact that Oceanic 815 is the one that in the TV series Lost crashes on to the mysterious island where nothing is quite as it seems was not lost on the audience at the company's Cupertino headquarters.

Looking to Sell Your iphone? - 0 views

  •
If you are trying to sell an iphone it can be a difficult task, especially if the phone is in a used condition, or even worse the iphone is broken. There is now an option to enable you to sell your phone easily and trouble free, regardless of it´s condition and get you some quick cash to discount the purchase of your new phone. Therefore if you were thinking you were stuck with your iphone, or it was ready for the trash then you will be relieved to know you can get paid to recycle it.There are several companies available on the internet to assist you with this process, however I highly recommend www.cashforiphones.com , when you sell your iphone to them they offer a service that stands out above the rest, they keep to their promises and they deliver fast cash, all at no cost to the customer, including the postage and insurance being paid for by them. Also offered by the 'cashfor' family is a very simple, easy to use website where you can gain an accurate quote for your iphone that you wish to sell, and you will see from the list that all models are accepted and in any condition - you can even sell your broken iphone to them, meaning you get paid to recycle your electronic waste. Once you have completed the online process they will ship a postage box to you that is prepaid and the cost of insurance is covered so all you have to do is box up the phone in the comfort of your own home and ship it back to them at no cost, revolutionizing the process of selling an iphone and making it very straightforward. After you have sent off the old iphone in the post and it is received by www.cashforiphones.com they will erase any personal information that was stored on it giving you piece of mind, and they will immediately dispatch the check in the post for amount quoted when you chose to sell your iphone - they also offer this service for Smartphone's, Blackberry's and laptops, so it is an ideal company if you are looking at having a clear out of your unused electronic hardware, an

Crackulous released, promises to bust iPhone app protection scheme | iPhone News Updated - 0 views

  •
If Apple's sat back and let the iPhone hacking community do its thing in peace (well, relative peace) so far, this little gem just might be what the doctor ordered to stir up the crap. Crackulous - available now in beta form through Cydia - claims to be able to strip the protection off most apps downloaded from the App Store, meaning that just a single user needs to take the plunge and buy a target app once to get it busted and into free circulation.

UK Government Pulls Another iPhone 3G Ad | iPhone News Updated - 0 views

  •
We already told you about the UK banning Apple's "just the internet" ad, and why they were wrong. Well, the BBC is reporting yet another Apple iPhone 3G television ad has just been yanked off the UK airwaves by the British government's advertising standards watchdog group. Why? For exaggerating the iPhone 3G's speed.

Coming Soon From Sling Media: Watch Cable TV From Your iPhoneComing Soon From Sling Med... - 0 views

  •
Sling Media, the company behind the popular (and very cool) settop boxes that allow you to stream cable from your house to your computer, looks like it has outdone itself. At this week's Macworld the company will be showing off its upcoming iPhone application, which effectively gives iPhone owners instant access to their Cable TVs and Tivos from anywhere they have a network connection. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait a little longer (the company says that the app will be submitted to Apple some time in Q1), but it looks like it will be well worth the wait.

iPhone not writing Location EXIF correctly? « geobloggers - 0 views

  • Ok, so everyone’s playing with the new iPhone 2.0 software, and taking photos, and embedding the location information into the EXIF. Well early adopters in San Francisco are anyway, and here’s an interesting thing about San Francisco is that it’s at the same latitude as a bit of the Yellow Sea, just off the coast of China. Example: San Francisco is 37.7 latitude, -122.4 longitude which puts it firmly in the Western Hemisphere. The same latitude but 122.4 longitude you end up just off the coast of China. The Spec for GPS location in EXIF says that you’re not supposed to have any sign information on the latitude or longitude, so it’ll always be positive (i.e. the North Eastern Hemispheres) in the "GPS Latitude" and "GPS Longitude" fields (although some apps do add that information) The North/South East/West bit is supposed to be in the "GPS Latitude Ref" and "GPS Longitude Ref" fields. But it seems at first glance, that the iPhone 2.0 software misses these fields out when writing EXIF data to the photo, so while everything else using Core-Location on the iPhone is super happy. Photos appear to be missing which Hemisphere they’re taken in. And those photos taken in San Francisco, well, they think they’re in China … for the moment. EXIF from iPhone GPS Latitude 37 deg 45' 36.00" GPS Longitude 122 deg 25' 48.00" GPS Position 37 deg 45' 36.00", 122 deg 25' 48.00" Missing EXIF Fields GPS Latitude Ref North GPS Longitude Ref East Can anyone else confirm that there’s no North/South, East/West information in the EXIF, or is it hidden somewhere else and I’m just missing it?
