MasterCard has released ATM Hunter, an iPhone app that lets owners find nearby ATMs around the world by entering in an address or airport location. iPhone 3G owners don't even have to do that, because the app is location aware and can pick up your current address from the GPS radio.
I guess I was a little too optimistic. Back in April, when I tried out a TomTom GPS receiver that used a wireless-data modem to fetch traffic data, look up nearby gas prices and find local establishments, I expected that we'd soon see something better.
