Did you spend Christmas day downloading apps for that new iPod touch? If so, you weren't alone. The volume of iPod touch downloads from Apple's App Store skyrocketed almost 1,000 percent on December 25th, findings released Monday show. This year also marked the first Christmas where iPod touch app downloads passed iPhone downloads.

Apple recently revealed that "Revenge" is the third most popular free application on its App Store, and Tapulous Chief Executive Bart Decrem says half a million people play it every week since it debuted last summer.

The Apple iPhone is currently the most searched for product in the UK, picking up 1.75 percent of all product searches and 14.01 percent of all mobile phone searches during the week ending December 5.
