Motorola DROID It's the first device to run using the greatly improved Android 2.0 operating system and Motorola has gone a long way to address most of the shortfalls that were inevitably leveled against previous Android phones in comparisons to the competition.

To be honest, I don't really care which is the better smartphone (or super-duper phone): the iPhone 3GS, the Motorola Droid, HTC's Droid Eris, Google's Nexus One, Nokia's N900 or the Palm Pre.

Motorola has recently rolled-out their latest Motorola DROID PRO, a new, powerful, stronger and faster solution designed to meet both business and personal needs.

I've owned my Droid X since it came out, and I simply love it. I can't imagine having a different phone. I feel it surpasses the iPhone in a few ways. For one, it has a bigger and sharper screen. If you're planning to play games, watch movies or shows, this is the phone for you. It might not seem like it's "that much" bigger, but it is and it makes a difference. The screen is sharp enough that I watch Netflix and HBO shows on my phone all the time (did I mention the WiFi is strong enough on the phone for this to be possible?). Also, a lot of people think they simply must have their music on their iPods. Once I got this phone, I sold my old iTouch. Are iPods better at handling music then the Droid X? Yes. But is it a significant upgrade? No, not at all. The music quality is the exact same, so the only difference is the interface. It's very easy to get the music from your computer onto the phone as well, simply a drag and drop process. Having owned the phone for almost a year and half, I have to say that the battery has declined over time. When I got the phone, the battery life was about 8-10 hours using it somewhat throughout the day. Now that is about 5-7 hours of heavier use. Even so, I still love this phone and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!

Apple (NSDQ:AAPL)'s iPhone has the top touch screen - most responsive and accurate - beating out hot rivals including Motorola (NYSE:MOT)'s Droid and Google (NSDQ:GOOG)'s Nexus One, according to an independent testing firm.

There is no iPhonekiller. With that out of the way, the new Motorola Droid is recommended to almost any smart phone shopper.

Motorola's Droid smart phone has attracted a fair amount of attention as possibly the toughest challenger for the iPhone.

I found some time away from producing this year's holiday gift guide to try out one of the hottest smartphones of the season.

The truth is, as they say, in the fine print. This sentiment is no truer than in the world of mobile phones. Plenty is written about the price of handsets, but - especially in the U.S. - that price is nearly always followed by an asterisk. If you want the subsidized price, you're going to have to sign a two-year contract with the phone's wireless carrier.

Some analysts are suggesting that Google might have sold "just" 20,000 Nexus One phones this week, since the phone became available.
