I recently downloaded the IMDB iPod/iPhone app, and it's fantastic, and absolutely perfect for settling arguments - Who was that guy in that movie? - when you're in a bar or restaurant, where such questions most often seem to arise.

It has been a crazy night trying to download the latest iPhone update, with many reporting that they are unable to access Apple's servers due to unusually high traffic. But Apple's servers are now up to scratch and everybody should have the 3.0 software update installed on their iPhone and iPod Touch.

It's Day 3 of my week-long look at the new iPhone OS 3.0 and some updated apps with new features. We've looked at Push notifications and Spotlight already and today we'll look closer at text messaging (or SMS).
