The Flipped Classroom is gaining steam in schools across the world. Flipped classes focus on student interaction and engagement in class and a major component is the technology that can be used to create, deliver, and collaborate. Richard has posted on many of these tools, so I'll be sharing how I use a combination of tools in a typical unit.

Placefy is fun geographic game that teaches you about world cities in pictures, we ask you to identify cities by displaying one picture at a time and if you are correct you will earn points and jump levels. You can tweet and post your score to facebook any time.

Wowzio's Panoramic SlideShow widget automatically finds all the pictures on your blog and creates a beautiful slideshow from them. Each slideshow image links to its corresponding post.

There's obviously a lot of interest in these kind of websites! Here are 5 more sites which let you create cartoon versions of yourself which your students (or you!)  can use as an avatar in place of their own photograph.

VuSafe provides a place for you to find, organize, and watch videos in a secure, filtered environment. VuSafe offers a password protected environment in which you can post videos for your students to watch without exposing them to the comments, advertisements, and automatically generated related videos found on YouTube. As a teacher you can search for videos either through VuSafe or directly on YouTube. When you find the video you want, you can tag it by content and grade level and add it to your VuSafe page.
