I felt that the world simulation was too short. I was wondering if there was anyway that you could sign up for maybe an evening test time, and only use it once during the semester, for the world simulation. This way the rounds could be longer. I know that the biggest problem my group had during round 1 is that we didn't quite understand what we were doing. I feel that this is important, because once each group understands their goals they really seem to get into the game. I know my group did. I also wonder what would have happened had we had an extra 3 minutes in our last round?
More importantly, I think there are already slaves in the game. When one country conquers another and puts those people to work, they are basically slaves. I think exploring with slave trade, for survival is a great idea. If one country is a little short on resources but the have slaves, maybe they could trade them for a fruit loop necklace. There is also the possibility of slave rebellion.
