    En Estados Unidos mueren al año 18.000 personas (más que de sida), infectadas por la bacteria MRSA, que se genera en el organismo de los cerdos, como consecuencia de la aplicación de ciertos antibióticos. Estos antibióticos se les da a los cerdos para que resistan mejor las malas condiciones de vida en que se encuentran en las factorías en que pasan sus días hasta ser sacrificados para consumo humano.
