      <title>Fuel cell power for new World Trade Center</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;The redeveloped World Trade Center will be “one of the largest fuel cell installations in the world” according to the New York Power Authority (NYPA).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Under the US$10.6 million agreement between NYPA and fuel cell developer and provider UTC Power, fuel cells with a total capacity of 4.8MW will provide an on-site supplement to the renewable and other clean energy that will power the rebuilt centre.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first fuel cells will be delivered to the Freedom Tower in January 2009, and will be owned and operated by the Port Authority, which also owns the building. The fuel cells for the other three towers will be owned and operated by World Trade Center Properties, LLC.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“Fuel cells are one of the environmentally beneficial technologies that the Power Authority is investing in under Governor Paterson’s leadership to combat greenhouse gas emissions and diversify the state’s energy mix.       <title>BPA Consulting Evaluates Copper Trends in PCBs</title>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Mention copper to almost anyone in the PCB industry these days and the first thing that springs to mind is the ongoing price increase. Although copper pricing is not directly monitored by BPA, the impact on the price of laminate and PCBs is monitored through BPA's quarterly survey for its PCB Information Service. &amp;#0092;n&amp;#0092;nIn the short term, forecasted increases on the demand side for copper prices are likely to remain at least at the current level. The trend in copper usage has diverged in the fact that a number of different applications now exist. &amp;#0092;n&amp;#0092;nAt one time, 1 ounce (35µm) copper was standard, but the average is now 0.5 ounces. Using thinner copper, if the design will allow, can, to some extent, offset a price increase. However, one segment of the PCB industry which is particularly vulnerable to copper prices is the automotive sector, where recent developments have seen the introduction of thick copper PCBs for smart fuse boxes and power electronics. by competitors like BrightSource in that fields of mirrors called
heliostats focus the sun’s rays on tower that contains a receiver. In
this case the receiver is filled with salt which when heated vaporizes
water to create steam that drives an electricity-generating turbine.
The company says it intends to have 500 megawatts of solar electricity

with solar cells with a span of 200 feet. Despite that huge wing span,
the craft will employ lightweight materials to tip the scales at only
3,300 pounds. That combination will allow the plane to fly at just
28 miles per hour, a speed that will keep energy consumption low,
allowing the solar panels to not only power the craft during the day,
but to also store up enough energy to keep it flying at night.
Construction of the HB-SIA began in June and is expected to be
