Very usefull for learning spanish: Daily-Free Podcast

Hi everybody,

I’m writing to report about the existence of a new educational resource for learning Spanish as a foreign language (www.audiria.com). It’s a web page totally free for teachers as well as for students. You will find daily a new audio file about very different topics (Spanish culture, grammar, novels, news, radio, daily scenes, El Quijote). Audio files are accompanied by the corresponding texts (also for free) and exercises where you can check your understanding degree.

I think it can be very useful, for me it is¡

I'm getting ready for our regular Saturday "Web 2.0 Week in Review" show (8am Pacific / 11am Eastern) and thought it would be good to get feedback and plan the show here in this group.

Great idea! Will you be using WiZiQ's virtual conference room for the Saturday "Week 2.0 Week in Review" shows? If you are, perhaps we can co-moderate the sessions. Let me know and I will set up the sessions for you. Pair work has many advantages.

No, we've been using Elluminate. You can check out past shows on www.classroom20wiki.com/live+conversations. But would still welcome your participation and even moderation! Would love to grow the audience a bit - so far it's usually under 20 people.

What are people's experience with virtual classrooms ? WiZiQ offers a virtual Classroom that doesn't cost $100,000 for a site liscence. That's what attracted me to the WiZiQ VC platform. Does anyone know of any conventions, conferences where social networking bods like us get together and share classroom practice?

I noticed that a whole raft of these things take place in the US it seems the UK is really lagging behind. Or am I just missing something that is happening somewhere? If I am please tell me where.... I want to join in!

I think....go for it...lol... but Hey ..that's my enthusiastic nature I can't help myself. Now wireless internet, it depends how good you need it? Most hotels offer it now, so it isn't a problem. Trouble with hotels, they are expensive. The other option is to use a school to host the event. I am sure quite a few people have invested in mobile internet useage in the uK using the plug in usb type?

Anyway.....I am sure more people would want to share in this. I will twitter the discussion round and see if we get any takers.

To prevent / deter spam, I would like to bring this group setting option to your attention:

Instead of a public group opens to anyone, you may wish to set "who can join" to a "moderated" setting, which means that one needs to apply / request to be admitted to a group. You can change the setting in "Group Admin" > > Group Overview > > Who can join (Apply to join -- moderator approval required or By invitation only)

Your group is a great valuable resource for other educators, and we'd love to assist you to keep its high content quality. Ultimately the group owner and group members have the "responsibilities" to actively monitor, control the content (actively remove inappropriate ones), etc. Group manager also has many group settings (such giving more trusted group members "moderator" status...) Like to invite you to read the "Group" in our Help to learn more about various options available to you.
