v3 toolbar

1. The full "Bookmark" action should have an icon, not only text. I prefer moving it to the bookmarks toolbar, so I don't have to keep the entire Diigo toolbar displayed. There it is much easier to detect as an icon, but I believe this is so also on the original toolbar.

2. Optionalize the menubar dropdwon menu. It is very intrusive.

3. The context menu arrangement is also intrusive. I use FF's Customize Menus so it doesn't bother me much, but it is better as a sub-menu. BTW, they don't show on the top even when checked, for me.

The additions to the site look cool. thanks.

I don't mind the Diigo menu in the menu bar.. but i find it a little odd. Most of it's functions are duplicated elsewhere (toolbar, rightclick) so its not really needed. (though I guess it means i could get rid of the toolbar if i wanted)

However Unread and Recently bookmarked would be much more useful as buttons on th toolbar (similar to the messages button. )
A smart "mark read" button would be cool to help you catch up on unread stuff too.

the rightclick options are at the top for me, and I like them. (though again, making them optional would be polite).
Also, i still can't get the search categories to appear directly on the toolbar.

Other than that, i think its a great improvement. good job

I would like to have access to the Unread bookmarks from the toolbar itself. Is that somehow possible? I don't want to use the menubar (I autohide it).

I fully agree with you: Buttons for Unread and Recently bookmarked would be great!

a few explanations:

- the top diigo menu is there mainly for people who wants to hide the whole diigo toolbar -- will be optional
- context menu: there is an option to set diigo items on the top or not. Is this still not working for you, let's us know.

Wow, awesome. After coming back to the site for the first time in ages to post some requests last night I didn't expect you to respond so fast ;-)

I'm just about to install the new toolbar and see how improved that is.

One point, I don't like that it forces me to enter a first and last name. I have a username that I like, but now i've had to add a random extra letter to it because it insists on me having a last name. SO now it looks silly on my profile.

Oh, and it'd be nice to be able to stop non-diigo users seeing my photo too. (everything else is fine, but not the photo).

[edit] New toolbar is nice. *Search functionality doesn't seem to work though*. Using the toolbar to search diigo i get a 404 error. And I can no longer make any other search options appear on the toolbar. BUt it does open in a new tab (which is awesome!)

Same here, I've got the "Save Elsewhere" section configured in "My Tools" (and yes, I've double-checked the passwords and logins) and not only does it not save there, but that section in the toolbar config (Clicking on the hammer icon, and going to "Bookmark and Highlight" tab) never shows anything other than the checkbox for saving to the local bookmarks and a link "Set-up" that takes me to the "Save Elsewhere" section on the website.

Feature request: please bring back saving to the other external sites! You used to have a couple of them and now it's down to just 3. Still better than the other sites though!

We'll be starting a series of "Tips of the day" blog posts to introduce some features / clarify some differences between V2 and V3.

Please check / subscribe to our blog for these Tips. If you have suggestion or wish to help out in some way, please let us know. Also, please check out our new wiki HELP. It's still being constantly refined. Again, welcome expert users to pitch in there.

We know there are lots of changes from V2 to V3, but we hope it's quite worth it. Don't be "overwhelmed" - just explore a little bit at a time. Plus, it's always a nice surprise for you to continue discover something new at diigo :-) Whatever that we can make the "transition" easier for you guys, welcome your suggestion.
