option to open searches in new tabs PLEASE???

I have the diigo toolbar installed, and as i build up a nice list of diigo bookmarks it'd be really useful to be able to search it easily.. but everything in my FF is set to open in new tabs. (searches, URLs, etc..) so every time i'm reading a page and I want to search for something in the text box i go ahead... ONLY TO GET MY CURRENT TAB OVERWRITTEN...

which is REALLY frustrating.. especially if i was half way through typing something and wanted to look up a reference. I can't even CTRL enter or ALT enter or anything to open the results in a new tab...

Diigo toolbar IE7 bug

I'm experiencing following symptoms with Diigo Toolbar for IE7.

#1. whenever I open a new tab, IE7 loses focus for about a second. You can see this by watching IE's titlebar.
#2. opening new tab is slow. (because of #1)
#3. Whenever I open a link in new tab, IE7 loses focus.

I disabled all add-ons except Diigo Toolbar, still the same symptom.
If Diigo Toolbar is enabled but not displayed, the symptoms dissapear.

My guess is that IE7 loses focus because Diigo Toolbar is getting focus.

Yes. notice this problem, a rather strange one... We will try to see if we can find a solution for this..

Meanwhile, It should refocus very quickly, right? Otherwise, use your mouse and point -> should refocus again.

I have just reinstalled the toolbar in IE7 and am still getting this issue - except that IE7 does not regain focus.

any news on a fix?

I too am having this problem. It just locks up and crashes.

I am running into the same issues.

I recently had to reinstall Diigo on IE7 and now the toolbar (1.) disappears everytime a new window pops up, and (2.) when I sign-in again, I can't seem to bookmark the page that I'm on.

Need to trouble-shoot this issue ASAP as I have an upcoming conference to attend and plan to use Diigo for part of my demo.

And one other clarification, it doesn't seem to be a cookie issue because "persistent cookie" is enabled within my security settings.

In Firefox, sometimes I would open all the bookmarks in a folder in tabs (so if there were, say 10 bookmarks in a folder, 10 bookmarks would open all at once in 10 tabs). Is it possible to do that in diigo, that is, to open all the bookmarks for a tag all at once in Firefox?

found it in the diigo toolbar, under filtered bookmark lists. At the bottom of the bookmark list is "Open all in tabs".

I updated to the new toolbbar (3.1.2), and the filtered bookmarks functionality seems to no longer be available. Is this functionality available somewhere with the new toolbar?

You can open the sidebar(click the left most icon) and filter bookmarks there.

I love the customized search feature, it saves time and effort in ways that surpass other search tools (and it sits neatly in a single toolbar with many other great features).

However, it baffles me how up until now, searching is always performed in the same tab/window - there is no option to open search in a new tab (or window). It seems like the natural way to browse: I read an online article, run into an unknown term, select it and search it up in a new tab using context-menu-search. All of this is done with a single click and without leaving the original page (instead of going back one page, which then needs to be reloaded).

Not sure how difficult it is to program this feature, but it seems to be well worth the effort.

If I could follow up on this... is there a way to get the new tab to be selected? I've got Firefox set to select new tabs when they open, but when I ctrl+click on a diigo search, the new tab is not selected. Thanks!

Y, we noticed the problem and recorded. To work around before we fix it, you can middle click ( if you use mouse) the search button, then the new tab can be selected.

Hi, I was using this and loving it, but for some reason, ctrl click won't work on my mac now, and ideas? I've tried resinstalling

Hi buckoa51!

Yes, there is.
Click on any link by the right mouse button and you may see Open in New tab option.
Momentarily, i don't know whether that is an built-in feature of Firefox ( i suppose you use Firefox because of the 'tab') or...
If you can't see this option you must download one or two or Firefox extension(s)

Could you find useful my tips for installing tab Add-ons for Firefox?
They are all installed under my Firefox and really improve its work.
The most recently downloaded one by me
Multiple Tab Handler which you can reach at my given 3. link.
It can arrange the tabs by mouse which feature not maintained in the Tab-Mix-plus although the latter knows very much!!!
They work generally for every task browsed with Firefox not only for Diigo!
I like them!

Right clicking a diigo bookmark does nothing... Even with those extensions installed

In firefox, to automatically open a link in a new tab, click it with the scroll button ("Middle Click")

Yes, you can do that. In my opinion, the easiest way to do this is to use the following mouse/keyboard shortcuts in Mozilla Firefox:
a) click the hyperlink, in this case the Diigo bookmark link, with the left mouse button while holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard -> this opens the web page in a new tab in the foreground
b) click the hyperlink with the left mouse button while simultaneously holding down the Ctrl key and the Shift key on the keyboard -> this opens the web page in a new tab in the background

In Opera, the mouse/keyboard shortcuts are:
a) Shift key + clicking the left mouse button opens the hyperlink in a new tab in the foreground
b) Shift key + Ctrl key + clicking the left mouse button opens the hyperlink in a new tab in the background
