Private Notes and Sidebar Memory Problem

Hi,

i am using FF3 with the latest diigo toolbar and am an advanced user.

I can't get the side bar to "save" the See private annotations only setting.

I want to browse the web and see ONLY my private comments, highlights and annotations. However i can't find an option for that. is there one? where is it?

Organizing Expand View Highlights and Sticky Notes

I'm not sure when it changed and I thought it worked differently before but after viewing one of my highlighted text from the expand view, I saw that the highlights with sticky notes took higher priority than my first highlight and this messed up my reading as I often highlight and annotate these texts to get a cliff notes view of the article and when the stickied highlight with notes becomes the first entry, it totally messes up the reading order.

"Submission failed" -- always

Diigo cannot seem to submit/catch my bookmarks/stickies. When I try to bookmark a page, the form comes up but then when I hit "submit," I get a "submission failed -- will retry" message. Every time. Similarly, on the page, highlighting works fine as does pulling up and typing into a sticky note but when I hit "submit," the submission fails. My highlights and sticky notes are retained through my session, with the notes popping up as they should -- always with the word "saving" at the end, as if in the process of being saved but not saved yet. I use the latest Firefox 2. I'd really like to use diigo too but obviously will not be able to if it cannot even save a single bookmark for me. Have searched the online help but this gives no aid for troubleshooting, just instructions about how it's supposed to work. Perhaps someone here can help?

I don't know about the second question, but as to the first, I think I can help. Warning: I have not yet tried this with sticky notes, merely clipping text. You have to highlight and clip the smaller sections (inside the bigger section) first. After that, you just highlight the whole block. When you go to your my bookmarks page, you will see it as two separate clippings. Very useful!

Now that I think of it, if nothing else, you should be able to add sticky notes separately from your my bookmarks page. Or you can try adding the sticky note to the small bit before clipping the large bit and seeing if that works as well.

To add a sticky note to a webpage using diigolet, one must go through three steps before writing his note:

1. click on diigo bookmarklet
2. click on the Sticky Note button
3. click on the text box

the third step can be eliminated if the text caret is already on the text box.

forwarding webpage collaboration not always working?

joel; colaborating with overseas webdesigner, forwarding highlighted with stickyunoted pages. problem is :highlights & stickys NOT always coming through properly(some are totally missing others are in wrong locations, some are old previously sent already implemented revisions of the same page........
Forwards come through fine to my thunderbird email client, the web designer uses outlook (where the problem is) HELP!!!!! this critical stuff for me I love this tool!!!!!!

outlook failed but also through their gmail account. Had to use alternastivr collaboration method , diigo is so great when it works , but designer getting short tempered.....
ALSO, FYI: when delleting highlights cursor apparently has to be in the exact same cursor page position as when the highlight was created, NOT just within the highlted area?????...... When is "later" for solving the forwarding problem? Any chance the screen appearance time of stickys is going to be speeded up? Also the sticky symbol does not always show up when choosing "highlight & sticky note" right mouse choice yet there is a sticky there.......

The diigo forward feature is mainly designed for scenaria in which people can share some texts easier. For the scenaria in your case, debugging is not enough and we may need some different solutions. Could you post your requirement in detail ? If enough users require the same feature, we will put it in a high priority to do list.
