snapshot - freeze frame of diigo activity on a page

What I want to be able to do is to save the diigo activity on a page at a given time. In this way I hope to be able set students an assignment involving diigo and then see what they have done at a given time. So that my snapshot is saved somewhere (on my PC perhaps) and will not be affected by subsequent annotations on the same url.

I know that I should be able to do this with webslides - but as other forum users say, webslides are not available to private groups and for obvious reasons with student work it is appropriate to keep it confidential.

Is there a way to save the page with the annotations in place?

This is an interesting thought, though not sure how many people will really have this snapshot need. We'll discuss it here.

Not exactly an "snapshot" at a given time, but you can make use of the "View Annotations" to filter and see only your own. http://www.diigo.com/help/stickynote/3

In the upcoming release, there is a super easy way to view your / all / group annotations on a page at a glance. So, stay tuned.

Print feature

I have always wanted to print annotated text or pictures. For now, however, there is no function to print annotations conveniently. So I have had to use indirect way to print them out; e.g. copy with format and paste to MS Word and print. I wish Diigo developers to make a print feature that will make users more useful.

This feature is implemented in the next release. When it's ready, we'd like to invite you to use it and give us some feedback.

Save or print with highlights and stickies visible

Hi ,

Diigo is a wonderful tool. Is there a way to print or save annotated webpages so that the stickies and highlights are visible? It seems that this would be a pretty common need for people using diigo for reserach, and who want to look at their work offline or on paper.

On a related note, any plans to put stickies and highlights in the cache? It's a real shame to lose annotations just because a webpage changes.

Agree and thanks for your input. We'll be offering more enhancements. Meanwhile, few things you can do now:

1) Extract (we will also further enhance more features here...)
2) Use search to pull out what you need, and use expand to display and print them
2) Export as CSV format

Annotation in cache - sometimes that will require more work - but it's on our agenda to discuss more here.

Yes, I agree as above ...Diigo is a really wonderful tool...and it would be nice too somehow to save our works.
