The 'More From' indicator at bottom of entries on 'My Bookmarks' page

bookmarks |more | post by noelreid on 2007-11-13

Hi,

Sometimes I can see the domain the bookmark refers to. . . and sometimes I don't.
I can't figure out how to make this line a permanent feature; I find it a useful addition
as it's usually impossible to work out the website referred to in the page title alone.
Check this screen capture image for what I mean.

http://screencast.com/t/YgERgaEw

Is this some kind of bug?

Thanks
post by noelreid on 2007-11-13

Hi Noelreid,

It is not a bug, more like a missing feature. The unfiltered list of bookmarks shows the "more from" indicator. As soon as a tag filter is applied, you lose the indicator. I also, wish it was in all views!
post by oneeye on 2007-11-17

I third that. It's very handy to see the URLs.

oneeye wrote:
> Hi Noelreid,
>
> It is not a bug, more like a missing feature. Well, basically the smaller your Firefox bookmark load the less time it takes to start up.
I have a 400k file with a little over 1,000 bookmarks.
2,000 it seems make it a bit huge.
Anything over is too much.

If ever you need to export the file, an option would have to be setup to have just the first tags as primary i.d.
But that would be a browser issue i guess right?

Also, searching through Firefox is way faster than any online bookmarking service.
Ctrl+B your bookmarks are instantly called up and you know the rest.
post by dantheman on 2007-08-25
