Login issue ~ Make sure you have the latest toolbar installed!

A few users have reported sign-in problem. Most likely it’s due to the fact that somehow your system prevents a proper auto-update. If that’s the case, we’d recommend that you re-install the latest toolbar. You should be in good shape after the re-install. If not, please let us know.

You can double check whether you have the latest one by looking up your toolbar version # (in toolbar: Diigo >> Help >> About) against the version number on the main Diigo toolbar download page http://www.diigo.com/tools

I am still having issues, logging in on the tool bar.

I have checked both version numbers and I'm showing 3.1.5.1 being the latest released and installed. I have also re installed. Anybody know how to fix this issue? It kinda defeats the purpose of having it installed if I cannot book mark!!

Won't stay logged in

Now that I'm using v3 I notice the Diigo will not keep me logged in for very long. If I wait a few minutes between bookmarking, I'm bumped back to the log in page. The toolbar continues to tell me I'm logged in until I'm bumped. Very frustrating. I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.13. I cleared the cookies but no change.

What's your toolbar version? Did you use the diigo V3 toolbar? If not, please go to http://www.diigo.com/tools and install it.
If you still experience problems, don't hesitate to report here again.

Stay logged in

Is there a way to tell Diigo to stay logged in? So I don't have to relog in everytime I open a new browser or tab. Or if I close the browser and then reopen it?

You have the latest toolbar. Any firewall? If so, you need to allow Diigo permission.

Could you be more helpful? Why in the world would a router be blocking the diigo toolbar, and how does one give diigo permission?

Some firewalls block javascript or clear the cookie which is needed to keep diigo login.

Could you try the latest toolbar http://www.diigo.com/tools? Some users told us they don't have the login problems after they installed the latest one.

"Sign in" - a small request

When trying to sign in via toolbar, we are taken to Diigo's website and must click on sign in again to try to sign in. Could the Diigo Toolbar 3 perhaps include one less sign in link?

Sign-in Drop

For some reason, I sometimes get automatically signed out of my Diigo account. This has happened in both Firefox and IE7. I have noticed it as I've been experimenting with Diigo's highlighting and sticky note features.

I'm afraid I can't retrace my steps on this one. I haven't been able to find a way to reproduce the problem.

After you edited sticky note, the system could sign you out. This is a known problem.
We will release a version to fix this bug.

auto-logout after set time

hi, it seems that Diigo doesn't logout after a set period of time, like many other services do. Is that correct? For example: if I login on one computer and forget to logout, am I logged in on that machine "forever", or at least until I login on another machine?

I'd prefer a timeout period, for privacy purposes, since I use public computers.

The previous user scenario was for work/home usage. However, we are considering your use case. This feature maybe implemented later.

Hi,

I tried to bookmark a page from the LA Times and when I return to it from my dashboard the cached version is the login page for latimes.com.

Here's the URL of the page I was trying to bookmark:

P.S. it would be nice to be able to search the forum by text string - I'm not sure what the advantage of your current foum format is as opposed to the traditional threaded type.

We're aware of this - it's on our to-do list to see if we can improve on the cache area and address this issue.
