Some of these you may already be addressing.

I say this because I find this to be one of the most well engineered web apps I have seen....ever. It is extraordinarily thorough and well integrated into the older and competing technology that it seeks to replace. The usability is the issue.
Here are my criticisms (mostly visual)

-custom color scheme - I think that you can add something as simple as the last.fm 'paint it black button' or something as thorough as the netvibes interface to allow a user to feel at home in your space without affecting your branding. The web 2.0 blue is old. Your...pretty much web 3.0 anyway so have some 3.0 visual standards (whatever the hell that means)

-sorting - the ability to control how bookmarks are ordered (ie not by date). Please elaborate more on exactly how you envision it and is there an UI example somewhere? Many people have lots of bookmarks, strictly dragging the order within one page is not too effective. Have you checked out our LIST function yet? Not only it helps you to organize the collection better, over there we do support the drag order since the #s of bookmarks is much easier to manage http://help.diigo.com/How-To_Guide/Lists

>
> -date - the exact hours ago that I bookmarked a site is extraordinarily irrelevant 99% of the time. Once a saved bookmark past the 24 hrs line, it becomes "date". It's the same placement as date.

> -pictures- a little screen shot of the web page next to the bookmark as a custom option. Some users like them, some think those thumbnails are too small to provide really valuable info but end up cluttered the page. Hard to please all :-)

It's possible that we can consider adding this support in the premium account, if there is indeed enough demand for it.

>
> -toolbar- add multiple pages of bookmarks. I don't want to go back to diigo to go to older bookmarks.

== > How?  please elaborate

> -ability to send bookmarks w/o a firefox plugin. By the way, diigolet (bookmarket) is already available.

>
> thats it.
> Please make this or something like this a sticky in your forums to assist in the development of your software.

== > ?
post by maggie_diigo on 2008-05-01

I apologize for not being entirely clear

the tabs-
much like how you can create folders in Firefox in your bookmarks toolbar. It is mostly a use ability and convenience concern. Just another means of organizing bookmarks quickly and easily. I realize that this can already be done through groups but the physicality of dragging things to a folder for organization is very standardized and intuitive. It feels quicker than having to manually label everything Basically a drag to an auto group space could potentially be created in an ajax script.
-How I envision this is a section to the right of the bookmarks where one could drag a bookmark into a folder then access that folder via a drop down tab

sticky- in a message board, is a topic that is locked at the top, so that there aren't lots of separate topics about basically the same thing.

in the diigo sidebar-
-at the bottom have 'page 2' , 'next page'
-and the option to eliminate the viewing of the date. I realize the date is important for organization but I already know bookmarks are sorted by date. When i am searching for a bookmark the time i bookmarked it is rarely of any use, so why do i need to see it…

bookmarklet-
i was unaware of this, thanks!

sorting-
a manual sort. move a bookmark one up or down with a little button. These applications are commonly used to show clients website examples. So usually we will make a page, group or account for them to brows competitive or conceptually similar pages. It is helpful to be able to manually reorder them.

pictures-
yea kinda unnecessary and i see the criticism that its far too bandwidth heavy and problematic.

thanks much
-b
post by zamiang on 2008-05-01

case-sensitive tags - any chance of it happening?

In this case all the MixedCase words in this contribution would be automatic links.

MayAllBeHappy
Fridemar

PS.: I make this excellent idea (as always a public annotation and a blog), to support it within the wider community. DiiGo has the chance to realize it . At least It would make no great effort to transfer the raw MixedCase to the associated social bookmarking communities by SimultaneousBookmarking, so that they can support it. I bookmark this highly community-relevant contribution with public bookmarks CaseSensitiveTags and AnnotationsAsWikiPages, AnnotationTitlesAsWikiPageTitles , AutoTagging, so that you can find it by searching it via DiiGo.

jeffreyjflim wrote:
> as per subject. First of all, i would like to say that what i am suggesting is case sensitive storage of the tags - and not so much case *differentiation*. ie., (using an example) the tag "CaseSensitive" should NOT somehow be differentiated from the tag "cASeSeNSiTivE" (as if we cared about using the 2 separately!). So in that sense i understand ur points about the cons (potential mess, information not found due to case differences).

I understand the concerns that u may have, but for me, the use of capitalization info would just make the tag *so* much more information rich. Implementation-wise, this is what i would suggest:
- the first time a tag is created, it is stored as is case-wise. This will in future be the "reference case implementation" for the tag
- for all future tags: to check for tag equivalence in future tag operations, simply just do a lowercase() operation, and then compare. All tags that are found to be equivalent through this process to an already created tag should therefore be switched to (with the appropriate case copys) the already existing tag. Therefore, tagging an article with "rubyinsight" would be the same as tagging it with your first "RubyInsight" tag.

Would this help to take care of the cons? Search engines (+ other services) -wise, diigo can carry on to use the already default lowercase (so that the exising links + PR are still there, and will be preserved). I only ask that we be able to have the case as stored presented to us as we originally meant it... ie. in the "My Bookmarks" display, and in the tag cloud.
post by jeffreyjflim on 2007-05-29

Maggie...

I fully understand your reservations about supporting case sensitive tags, but after considerable research I have come to the conclusion that I personally should not hold back, just because many others are not yet concerned about something. (Since my obvious bias in favour of this is already showing, I should probably state that it comes from years of integrating wikis into Information Technologies; even going so far as to accept them as one of my primary productivity tools.)

One suggestion that may 'bridge the gap' is the use of a presonal preferences switch. Unfortunately, I do not know enough about the DiiGo (see... I'm such a creature of habit that I automatically used CamelCase) to know if this would be so obviously prohibitively expensive, that it should be ruled out immediately, or not.

One of the reasons that I am supporting this request is evident if you look at the Tags that I've been creating here. Obviously my needs for visual distinction are such that I've gone to considerable lengths to devise tags that use special characters to differentiate them. This is even more important to me since one of the very nice features I rely on DiiGo for , is its generation of RssFeeds for tag sets that are 'intersections' of tags (logical ANDs). These feeds are automatically routed to other web services applications I rely on, dramatically increasing the value of the Bookmarks that I create here and apply Tags to.

For you additional information, this is of sufficient value to me that I now frequently find myself wondering about DiiGo's Business Model. After all, I would be negligent if I become dependant upon something wthout knowing what I am likely to have to pay for it in the longer term. In effect, what I'm saying is DiiGo is sufficiently valuable to me, that I worry about its financial viability, since I don't see how you are generating Revenues to offset the obvious Expenses.

But, I've "digressed."

DiiGo is a womderful service. I sincerely hope it prospers since I find it very helpful and obviously would like to be able to keep using it. Ideally, I'd even like to be able to offer reasonable suggestions regarding possible enhancements.

Regards,
-- HansWobbe.

post by hanswobbe on 2007-05-30

Thanks for more helpful input from you all. And if i ever get to start on my research project, i'll likely recommend to the team taking a look at diigo as well...
post by jeffreyjflim In this case, if you use both "TAGS", and "tags", we need to show just one of the two and merge their usage counts. but which one should be displayed. A simple
solution is to display the first one used --- for example, "TAGS" instead of "tags", if you used TAGS in any bookmark first. You can also edit the displayed tags of course.

what do you think of option 3), which is easier to implement than option 2?

also, note that option 2 can make searching by tags a little problematic.
post by wade on 2007-06-02

SupportingTheCase

Hello Wade,

thank you for taking the "case" seriously. Eg: "game" and "games" would both be merged into the same tag automatically.
post by soulgrind on 2007-06-03

May I ask why it would be definitely annoying?

My interest for asking is that I am currently of the opinion that I (personally) would really like to have Case sensitivity for reasons that I consider to be "pros". As long as Diigo is used for private tagging, why not.

But when subcommunities within the DiiGo sphere want to build SocialCollaboration they need precise tags. Think of distributed teams of C++ programmers, who are very sensitive in questions of case.

For non-programmers, please rethink the iPOD (TM) versus iBM (TM) example.

Your example could be used for differentiating tags by TypingShortCuts

Tech=HIghTech
tech=LowTech

In the author's view this is not at all "annoying". It is indeed very convenient.

It takes some carefulness of the SocialTagCommunityUser, but they will learn the advantage of CaseSensitivity very fast, as soon as they see more examples. On the other hand, as Maggie pointed out, the (private) tags remain editable.

Even the PluralSingularIssue, well known in the different WikiCommunities, would have a total different importance in TagCommunities.

"game" and "games" could precisely
differentiate between a site, devoted to one game only versus a site,
where more than one game is offered.

MayAllBeHappy
fridemar

post by fridemar on 2007-06-03

Dear Maggie, dear Diigos,

please see the above page with manually inserted Google-links, to get a feeling of the power of AutomaticTagging, based on WikiWords.

By the Way. The decision for supporting case is a strategic one.

Ad 1) Not case-sensitive: Even if all other DiigoAffiliatedBookmarkingServices would restrict their engines on not-case-sensitive, this would be not a serious problem to stick to StrongCaseSensitivity You could transfer to them the MixedCase
and leave them the decision, wether they apply a
"converttolowercasefunction", hampering the reading quality and
depriving them from a lot of fast analytical operations on tags.

Ad 2) Case-sensitive for both display and search: If the underlying database respects case, then
"IBM" (TM), the trademark of this computer-company and "iBM", a possible rival product of IBM to the iPod
of the Apple (TM) company, are indeed different and need to be
respected as valuable tags. Consider, for example, the ability to merely have a Diigo Sticky appear within a wiki page as as part of a standard oddmuse TransClusion.
** I think this would avoid "re-inventing" the wheel AND would allow individual SubWikis to retain their own "look and feel" through their existing ability to overlay local CSS.

I think it would be relatively easy to demonstrate the potential by simply designing a layout and a static HTML prototype using the free resources of the .../ODD/ wikiHive.

Interested? -- HansWobbe

> By the way, why don't you offer a uniform WysiWyg input field for all postings, comments, sticky notes? This solves several problem with one clap:

* UrlBasedAnnotation: now each annotation can have it's own Url like TrailFire does it, but with the added advantage, that those WikiPageUrls have the form: WikiPrefixColonFollowedByWikiPagename and not only coded by cryptic numbers. So the readability in GoogleSearchResults is improved.

* GlobalWikiEngineSupport:
** EachWikiAnnotationAsPartialPageOrFullpage 'quite normal windows, no more tiny stickies, that must be manually resized.'
** EachWikiAnnotationWithLookAndFeelConserved

* LocalWikiEngineSupport 'where each wiki word is tagged automatically by a TagWiki'

The main advantage appears to be using host wikis as source for RichLinkContext and NestingOfAnnotations in the sense of KaPingYee, who invented WebAnnotation. Owing to if one uses the MyBookmarks/My Groups' bookmarks only looking into the abbreviated annotations (which is also a cool feature of diigo:)) one would wish to arrange the reading order
2. If one bookmarked pages in a read sequence (byTime) but wish to change its reading order in MyBookmarks view he must delete the bookmarked pages and re-bookmark them again. This also entrainsdoing those same actions in MyGroups if the bookmarked pages had been shared immedately by toolbar option setting.
3. The MyLists feature allows this but, it is not allowed in MyGroups..

The moving feature also in both of frontages would be a very time.consuming feature

Thanks for your answer

post by iplnts on 2007-10-11

If not, is there a way pages can be 're-cached'?

Here are two relevant threads:

Thread "Full Text Search doesn't work":
http://forum.diigo.com/topic/350#1216

Core message: There may a delay sometimes but it should be short. But I do not know the answer
to your question because I am just a Diigo user myself. Unless you have
put a lot of work into the page by higlighting sections and adding
comments/notes, you could try to delete that page from your personal
bookmark collection and add it again. Maybe that helps.
post by maggie_diigo on 2007-04-11

John,

Thanks for your input. Will consider offering that option. Meanwhile, try clicking on the "about" link for each bookmark - you will see lots of related stuff all nicely presented there.

Caching normally shouldn't take too long, but once in a while our servers get quite busy and some delay may occur. Also, once in a while, certain few pages have somewhat strange behaviors and are not being properly cached - we're looking into that as we're further optimizing our search capability now.
post by maggie_diigo on 2007-04-11

maggie_diigo wrote:
> John,
>
> Thanks for your input. (They are not stars:)
I highlighted them normally as embedded pictures in the text - not using the clipit.
The pictures appears as | symbol when i view this link (the bookmark name: The Stargate of Atlantis) in My Bookmarks Expanded view.

- Would it be the problem that this and all of my bookmarks are 'private'?
- Have you get at My Bookmarks Expanded view somehow, or i must take this (or those problematic) bookmarks public to be checked by you?

This same problem also appears in My Group Bookmarks Expanded view. In which these bookmarks also are 'private', as my group is also private.

- Are the Diigo functions somehow restricted using them 'private' mode?

By the way, i sent you earlier an invitation to join to my private group, to see and check those problems and to be a partner if you are interesting about this theme.
--------------------
Seizing the opportunity here, and not opening an another topics because of your above given help link regards also to the embedded highlighted links,

There is also problem with the highlighted links. When i highlight only a (standalone) link which is not embedded in a text, the link sometimes is retained sometimes not, when i see in MyBookmarks/My Groups Expanded view! Pros vs. Cons

Yes, would be a great improvement.
I would especially like if I could add several filters to the main drop down, especially if they could have a set of categories per filter, not only one. Hmmm. That is in fact what I hoped the "bookmark groups" feature would bring, but I would also want to group across existing bookmark groups. But the bookmark groups should be available as filters there. But really useful if we could manage a list of such filters, not only one at the time.
post by fuzbolero on 2007-06-08

I too like this suggestion. Prior to Diigo he says there was confusion about precisely what was being discussed, but now with highlighting and sticky notes, there is no doubt and interaction between him and his clients is far easier. Some clients have joined Diigo and he is able to create a group with them, but for those clients who are intimidated by technology, he can foward to them and then they e-mail him. Even that he says helps tremendously.

maggie_diigo wrote:
> Besides these public posts, I've also received several emails. I understand too, a normal forum thread not same as a ticket thread.
But, in connection with my ealier question about DiigoLab

http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/413

If there is no strict distinguished possibility to handle a general discussion and the technical problems which latter would be solved by a tickect sytem feature which enable to close a thread when it is solved...the forum may become increasingly unembraceable as the topics grow.

suggestion: Probably, it would be applied a coloured or not or combo-dropdown + information field named 'ToDo' or 'Tasks' (chooseable: unanswered yet, hanging, on ToDo, solved...) put on to the forum header.

It can be also coupled with to help and improve the perspicuity of threading
discussed at topic: Threaded Annotation
Re: http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/337

and also would be combined with a similar new chooseable drop-drow combo field on the forum header (rather than tags view) more simply for directing the goal of change of highlighting
dicussed at topic: New highlight colors
Re: http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/144

Thanks for your considering.
post by iplnts on 2007-05-16

Hi,

Very good points here. Thanks very much for actively thinking along and sharing! Really appreciate it :-)

We have an internal tracking system for feature / bugs, etc, but not in a forum env't. Will discuss more here.

However, while this is a very desirable feature, we need to carefully juggle our development priorities, given our limited resources. Do we spend our time on mission-critical features development, vs. a desirable enhancement but much less direct impact to Diigo growth? Good challenge to us :-)
post by maggie_diigo on 2007-05-16

HI!
Threaded Annotation

So rather than each member of the group post their own sticky notes which could make things rather chaotic, group members would see an "Add thread" command when they were looking at other members annotations and be able to respond directly to the annotation as a thread and so on and so forth.
post by loyola on 2007-05-09

Of course, you can. But such threads don't occur very often IMO.

>1) Do people realize that you can reply to a specific post within a thread, or do people just default to use the last comment in a thread to "reply"?

I do realize this.

>2) For readers reading a forum discussion thread, do they really pay attention to the # on a thread, and actively trying to follow which comment is replied to which comment, or they just read through the thread sequentially?

This depends on the kind of display. If the comments/replies are indented/organized in the way they are in most newsreaders, then it is easy to pay attention to which comment followed which comment. However, if the comments/replies all look the same and the information about which comment refers to another comment can only be found in the header, then most people including myself read through the thread sequentially.
post by ollitolli on 2007-05-14

Hi!

As i could understand from the sequential reading of THIS forum threads and as i looked after the things; we could speaking of two or three things ( and much else) having been overlapped.

1. A group member can add 'a comment' to an existing sticky in Browser View of an annotated page when he clicks on a link in the Group Bookmark view. That highlighted text is "blue' which marks it has a sticky. Hovering over the blue text the sticky appears and the user can choose an action to Add (a) Comment. The Comment would be Rich Text edited which is a very excellent mode to distinguish the added comment to a specific sticky. There would be made as many comments as many group members review this specific sticky and all can change the comment format in rich text editing mode. I think, there is no else neccessary information than provided by userxx made this comment under each of the comments. Owing to it is very well followable. At best the sticky editing box would be larger fitting for the actual window position. The reader can go through the highlights quickly by smooth scrolling the mouse, hovering over the blue ones and review both the stickies and their comments. I don't exactly understand what is the problem about it?
---------------------------------------------------------------
2. Second case when somebody oversees the bookmarked pages in MyBookmarks Expanded view where he can see also a sequentially listed order ( as it is in the text) of highlights and its stickies. This case of view regarded only for the owner of the group bookmarks. The owner also can glance over every notes and he can initiate a new sticky notes from this view by 'Add a Sticky'

There is an inconsistency here!!! Owing to the sticky posted by the owner from here is not a new sticky in fact. It will be displayed both in this view and also in Browser view as a comment. From this view the owner can not choose rich text editing which is a mistake, i think.
+ An additional suggestion due to the clear-cutting would be here in this view making the sequentally listed highlights to be collapsible/expandable ( as also it is in the GoogleNotebook)
+ the shadow color of highlights boxes would be consistent with the highlighting colors ( yellowish which has no sticky, bluish has sticky...)
---------------------------------------------------------------
3. Regards to the forum post. The present forum threading allows anybody to reply to any specific #n comment under a topic. Nevertheless any reply will attached to the bottom of the forum thread where the header userxx said (on date replied to useryyyy on #n)" marks which comment or reply regards to which.
It may be perhaps troublesome that someone must read through the whole of contents of a topic to understand the last comment. I am doing a Master's degree in Computer Based/Online education and a major thrust of ours is the social nature of learning. What Diigo enables for learners is the discussion (in-situ) of a web site or online journal article. These discussions could become quite involved, hence the need for threaded discussion. Personally, I would prefer to see a more conventional type of threading such as:

Post 1
Reply 1A
Reply 1Aa
Reply 1B
Post 2
Reply 2A
Reply 2B

But I think that the way of doing it in this forum might be easier to implement, which is why I specifically suggested that, but in long threads, the history is more difficult to follow.

maggie_diigo wrote:
> I see.
>
> Interesting that you point this out - wonder how important is that additional "userxxx said ...(on 05-11-2007 replied to useryyyy on #1)"? Although, i only whished to clear the differences owing to you spoke of the 'threaded annotation' originally in your # 1.

I understand your problem, and as this post start to become very long this is a very good example for how much difficult to overview and handle the 'comment threads'. I absolutely agree in that with you, it would be (perhaps) minimally good to logically insert the responses under that comment to which the replies refer to.
(I can only guess how would it be simple solved, for example manually drag them by the reviewer which is a bit miserable, but it could work, i think! )
Or i can offer here to your attention there is yet a hiperlink #n which is already allowed to jump to the appropriate comment as permalink, (as i can see, and using, but it is in fact not same you would like to see.)

There may be else improvements making the threads to be better followable not seen here, but much rather at the normal Forum View window improving the fields of forum header. Which i suggested in my more posts.

Look at them under the links as follows.

improve the Diigo Group Forum with a ranking system
http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/410

Sorting/filtering the forum by author and/or author's last post
http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/411

How to close a solved post?
http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/414

+ as one can see also who read this ...
How nice would be also a little improving with rich text editing feature this view!!!!

see also at my post:
Allowing minimal html in the forum text
http://groups.diigo.com/Diigo_HQ/forum/topic/412

Thanks for anyone's listening to my comments!

post by iplnts on 2007-05-16

One has to sign on/off accordingly. What about offering a toggle button (or keyboard shortcut) for that.
Thank you
Fridemar
post by fridemar on 2007-05-13

Hi fridemar

We already offer a "Show Annotation" View Mode setting in the toolbar where you can easily toggle your viewing preference (All, private, group, disable).

To turn this into a keyboard shortcut, anything is doable - but question is how much demand is this feature? Also, keyboard shortcut must be executed with great care - since there may easily cause potential conflicts with other keyboard shortcuts by other popular software. Last thing we want to do is to create incompatibility, if this feature is not mission-critical and we do offer alternative solution.
post by maggie_diigo on 2007-05-14

maggie_diigo wrote:
> Hi fridemar

>We already offer a "Show Annotation" View Mode setting in the toolbar where you can easily toggle your viewing preference (All, private, group, disable).

I think this selection button works nicely. ( Similarly when a page is first time bookmarked or as it is here in tooltip.. It is very annoying to type again when modifiying more bookmarks.)

I have to reload the page to be the long line more tags wrapped properly.

It would be also helpful, if the edited tags could be also saved to the local bookmark after editing .
When i use the export bookmark tools the tag-mappas are not retained.. I opened the page again and again and added a new tag from the dropdown (or added a new bookmark) from the bookmark the page menu. It saved the tag-mappas to the local bookmark list as times as i had done. It worked well.

Although it is not quite same process i concerned in this question editing the tags under My Bookmark at Diigo at reviewing of my bookmarks may be really important also.
I guess (only), if the editing would be solved in this case by same way choosing from a dropdown, or tooltip and evidently it must be saved it may or it can belike update the local bookmarks already tagged.

Both of above written solve the 'exproting tag' problem for individual bookmarks, although a little laborious.

maggie_diigo wrote:
> iplnts wrote:
> > Hi!
> >
> > It'd be helpful at the Bookmark Edit feature if the already existing tags could be choosen and added from a dropdown box.
Diigo Tech Support? Where?

bug |discussion | post by ibancorp on 2007-05-06

So for the last week when i diigo a web page i've been getting this error message in the diigo pop-up window, where I would normally be able to see other people's comments, etc., saying "Sorry, the page you requested was not found.

Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Diigo, try visiting the Diigo home page"

Other than that message, everything seemed to be working fine, when I clicked save it said page saved, so I just shrugged and moved on.

Then today I went back to a page to see a highlight, and it wasn't there. Damn.

So now I start looking around for Diigo tech support. I look all over the Help page--no luck. Nothing at all about what to do when your Diigo isn't working right.

Then I start looking for some way to contact someone--anyone(!) at Diigo to ask for help. Very difficult to find anything.

So here I am, hoping that someone can help me solve this--I've become quite dependent on Diigo!

At the same time, I can't help wondering how many other Diigo users encounter a problem and just stop using it, because they encounter the same difficulties I've found between them and a solution, and at some point it just isn't worth the hassle any more.

Help, please. Anyone?
post by ibancorp on 2007-05-06

Hi ibancorp,

You've come to the right place for Q&A and exchange viewpoints with other Diigo members.

Reading from your note, it seems that you're suggesting that "page comments" not loading in the Diigo pop-up bookmarking window. However, that error message only shows up when a particular page cannot be retrieved in Diigo website, and not related to the pop-up window. So, please advise the following:

1) What browser, and Diigo toolbar version (can retrieve this under the toolbar Diigo>>Help>>About) do you have?

2) Can you please elaborate more where you see that error message - please provide a URL if possible

Meanwhile, I will email you with the latest toolbar for you to give it a test drive.
post by maggie_diigo on 2007-05-08

sgst: sort by visited, integrated search results, etc..

discussion |feature | post by soulgrind on 2007-04-25

Just installed the toolbar, and gotta say im impressed. I was reluctant to use diigo because i hate installing toolbars.. but i was sorry to see the diigolet didn't support multiple sites. Thought about deleting account but now i'm glad i tried the toolbar.

Few suggestions though:

1 - Favicons in toolbar bookmarks dropdown.
This would make it much easier to pick individual items from the list.

2 - Sort links by frequency of use.
This would be really handy.. so your most commonly used sites were always at the top of the list. I've set up a "@daily" tag of my most visited sites.. but some are more visited than others.. and right now its hard to pick them out of the long list. (spurl had this and it was very useful)

3 - Some way to make diigo toolbar search results open in new tabs, like i have my firefox search results set to do. Different behaviour leads to confusion.

4 - Integrated search results.
Maybe there is already a way to do this, but:
be cool to get a delicious style results page that shows results from your bookmarks, public bookmarks and the web all on one page.

Also be nice to get combined results from several services, eg: google + diigo + delicious + youtube + flickr.. or however you set up your search results. But that is more of a vague wish for the future.

5 - Bookmarkto multiple sites from the diigolet. Lots of people don't like installing toolbars.. plus it takes up less space and it can be used on other pcs more easily.

6 - Don't die like spurl, shadows and rawsugar seem to be.
&
