tools ----- which one to use?

hey,

i only use the bookmarking function. so i would like to have something simple and bookmark with only one click. something like Delicious's bookmarking button. with one click, the bookmarking windows popup.

i find diigo's "diigolet" has too many function. there's no option that i can disable things i don't use. please, simplicity.

I noticed the bookmarklet has changed. I like the new, simpler UI, but I cannot bookmark NYTimes pages. I have come across a number of pages that I cannot bookmark, but I work around it. However, not being able to bookmark NYTimes pages is a show stopper for me. Please tell me there's a fix coming soon?

Dear all,

I am a new user (I have registered my account a year ago but only in last week I have switched definitelly to Diigo), I have come here searching for "Diigo API" and I have read that is possible that Api are soon released :-D.

I use your bookmarklet but I prefere to changing it a little when public API are released.

For the moment, is it possible to change the style/color of the bookmarklet interface ?

I would like to know what are the ID or class of the bookmarklet elements

Ok, I have seen how to view the class element and change color.
The most impotant thing that I would change is the height of the Panel that appear when I click on "Bookmark Share", it is to big, and if I have the window of the browser not to full size, it is not visible (button to save changes are out of window).
Is it possible to make it scrollable ?

Hi, thanks for your suggestion for Diiglet user interface. A new version of Diigolet is under development and will be hopefully released soon.
We've been working hard to ensure that diigolet looks consistent inside various hosting web pages (and most importantly, cross browser). The id/class and styles are subject to change and may appear "tricky". Therefore it is not recommended to write your own customized styles at the moment.
The idea of interface customization is interesting and our developers are thinking about that seriously.

Ok, I wait for the new version without making changes.

I have another suggestion, if possible, if accesskey are added to "Submit" button it is accessible without scrolling the panel.

Internet Shuts Down

HELP! Every time I click on 'Bookmark this page' from the toolbar my browser shuts completely down!

The only way for me to bookmark anything is to click on the 'book plus sign' icon, then go into my Diigo account and click on all the 'unread' bookmarks, then go into 'edit' and then do what I need to do -- unfortunately, my tags don't automatically appear.

Anyone else w/ this problem?

Oh, we didn't hear it before.
What browser do you use? IE ? What's other plugins you installed?

BTW, you can use http://www.diigo.com/tools/diigolet if you experienced problems.

Thanks sooooo much for the prompt response. I was part of the group of educators that Lisa P. gathered to meet with you guys on the Elluminate session. Great info then by the way!

I only have IE and no other plugins.

I will try again this evening from my home computer and see if I have the same issues.

I will definitely install dingolet to see if the alleviates the problem.

Bookmarklet Requests

I just came over from del.icio.us, and have found diigo to be a great alternative (I love that I can continue to post there at the same time!), but there's a few features that I really miss in the bookmarklet.

The first is the "Recommended tags" section. Being able to quickly click through tags that I've used before to tag a page helps my workflow a lot, since I don't have to try to remember what I've used before.

The other one is similar, its the "Popular Tags" section, for pretty much the same reasons (and to find new useful tags to utilize)

I know both features are available in the Firefox toolbar, but despite its add-on goodness, FF has been too laggy for me to use, (although the recent beta, along with diigo has me intrigued) and I've been using Camino as my main browser (with Safari/WebKit on the side).

Other than that though, the bookmarklet is great! The service is wonderful! Thanks for everything!

Oh, is there a bookmarklet that allows "true" one click bookmarking to the unread section? I've been using instapaper for this, but it'd be nice to have one do-it-all tool (the current bookmarklet is at best a two-click method. Workflow! =)

PS: I figure someone else has requested the same thing, but I did a search for "bookmarklet", but couldn't find anything related to this.
