Send to Blog - Wordpress not a choice

I'm trying to use the Send To Blog feature to post to my Wordpress blog (which has been verified). When I right click, the only choices are Blogger, Gmail, and SMS. Oddly, I can send to an old Blogger version of my blog (which is now on Wordpress). Does anyone have any ideas?

Blogger, Gmail, and SMS ===> These items don't belong to Diigo extension. Maybe they are from your google toolbar.

Hi Joel:

As I understand it, I'm supposed to be able to right click and send to my Wordpress blog. The only 'send" options are the ones I mentioned earlier. If I do click on Blogger from that 'send' menu, it posts to my old Blogger-based blog (which, by the way I deleted from 'send to' tool. Where is the Diigo 'send' feature if not in right-click?

The only choices in the diigo portion of the right-click menu are bookmark, sticky note, forward, back, reload, stop.

Also, when I click send in the diigo toolbar at the top of the page, the only option is to Send via Email. When I click on the diigo pull down of the Firefox menu, there is no send option at all.

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.14 for Mac OSx.5.2.

Me again Joel -- any thoughts on my latest? It's such a cool feature I'd love to be able to use it.

Hi Kate,

I don't think you can send to blogs via Diigo from a right-click.

However, in the Diigo toolbar, to the right of the "send" option you should see a small downward pointing triangle. If I click on that triangle a dropdown menu appears giving me a number of send options, including "to Blog >>". If I then click on that option a dialogue opens which allows me to post to blogs, including Wordpress. I just need to set up the details for my blog before posting initially.

If instead you click directly on the Send button (i.e. not on the triangle to the right of it) you are presented only with the email option.

You are my hero! The pointing triangle was the solution and I guess you're right that right-click isn't an option -- though diigo's site says it is.

Does anyone else think it would be cool to be able to select to leave a trackback if you bookmark / comment on a blog? It would kill two birds with one stone by letting you bookmark and comment on the blog at the same time...

Hi halbstein,
This blog is not enabled XML-RPC which is needed for blog-this from other sites.

If you're hosting your own WordPress and have changed the "blog address" to be different from where you've actually installed the files (for example: the WordPress installation files are in http://kreativsinn.de/flexblog/wordpress/ but display at http://kreativsinn.de/flexblog/ ), you will need to make a small change to enable automatic posting to your blog.

To enable XML-RPC you'll need to copy your xmlrpc.php file and make one small change.

Assuming your wordpress install is in /flexblog/wordpress/ but displays at root ( /flexblog ):
1. Copy the xmlrpc.php file from /flexblog/wordpress/ to /flexblog
2. Open the xmlrpc.php that you just copied in a text edtior, and find the line that says include('./wp-config.php ');
3. Change that line to read: include('./wordpress/ wp-config.php');

big problem with the tags in daily blog posts

Today I encountered to my horror that the daily blog post I did set up posted a link I didn't intended to be posted. After looking into it I eventually found out what had happened: The tag I use for the daily blog post is 'nn' (I use shortcuts for faster tagging, as this here ins't intended for archiving). Now I tagged a link with "fnn" and it got posted. why?
Because the phrase "nn" is in there!

That's not good. You should use only the exact tags and not phrases in the tags that match what one entered in the dailyblogpost-options.

an example: What if someone wants to dailyblogpost everything they tag "sport". Now they tag something with "sportsillustrated". whoops, posted. :D

please look into that and change it. this could get really embarrassing. especially if the user decided to use private bookmarks for the daily blog post.

/none the less you're doing a great job with diigo!

After using the Blog This tool many times successfully, in the last week it has stopped extracting highlights and annotations. All I get is the title and the URL. Comments and highlights have been saved successfully. I have tried it on a number of different pages. Still doesn't work. Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated.

I tried to embed the "play in place" widget code into my Wordpress blog, but the Wordpress system removes it -according to their forum this is most likely related to security reasons. Is it possible to adjust the code to be accepted by Wordpress?

Daily Blog Post formatting

The Daily Blog Post is back up and running again, as promised, but it looks like there are a few glitches in the html formatting. At the beginning of the highlighted quotes passages were < div > tags as before, but the < / div > at the end of the passage was missing. There were also some unclosed < ul > tags. Can you please double check the formatting, especially around highlighted passages?

I always post as a draft and tweak the formatting myself, so I have a workaround, but I expect that people who publish directly could have issues.

(Odd spacing in this message due to my attempts to get tags to show visibly instead of being applied. :) )

I don't see any replies, but things seem to have gotten worse, not better, since I started this thread.

The html formatting contains multiple unclosed tags. If you're going to put < p class="title" > at the beginning of every entry, then every entry needs a < / p > at the end. Ditto for < div > and < ul > tags; one of the basic concepts of html is that you have to close every tag. I see more of these tags now than I did last week, so whatever you changed made it worse, not better.

The formatting for these posts has actually caused the sidebar on my blog to no longer display, at least until I clean up the html.

If you can't do formatting correctly, can you please just have plain text instead? It would be easier to manually format plain text than to fix your broken html.

Please reply to let me know if you are working on this. A lack of response will be assumed to mean you aren't reading or responding to messages in this forum. I'm sure Maggie who tracks the mentions of Diigo on blogs will be very disappointed if I'm forced to post again about your customer service issues. (I will give Maggie credit; she's been pretty consistent about commenting on my blog when I post about Diigo, either good or bad.)

I knew I shouldn't have complimented you on your improved reliability on my blog...I tempted fate too much.

1) Input your blog url
2) Click Next, then it locks you out ?
“Locks you out” means you were sign-out automatically or the page was frozen?

Several of you asked for Diigo blog. It was quite a bit of arm-twisting for us (particularly, for me) to get it started, haha :-) But honestly, just so much to do, so little time... plus, writing is really not my favorite thing to do :-(
