Prezi started in a very organic way; Adam and Peter - an internationally recognized emerging designer and a highly skilled computer scientist - have been lecturing extensively. Due to the limitations of slide presentations they developed their own method by using scripted maps, to hold these lectures. Over time (last 4 years) their methods matured, got refined.
Neurologist and teacher Judy Willis will be presenting a 4-part series on how young brains develop neurologically; she'll also offer some research-based classroom strategies to teach critical thinking and other 21st century skills.
This site was created by a grant from the REMC Association of Michigan for the creation of an educational resource for educational technology for students. Members of the REMC Instructional Technology Specialists in Michigan along with teachers from the state, have created this site to provide project-based activities which are aligned to the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S), and the Michigan Educational Technology Standards for students (METS) as well as the Framework for 21st Century Learning identified by the Partnership For 21st Century Skills.
