• Click additional key (looks like a head with some sort of star inside)
• Address book setting key
• One-touch control keys
• Buy a number e. g. 1
• Now select Register/edit
• Select file
• Please name the button
• Please name the one-touch name
• Decide on user, and enter customer name
• Select password and enter password, this will need to become done twice
• On the top menu please change protocol to WINDOWS (SMB)
• Now click browse in the bottoom right
• Get the folder you created to be share. You do this by selecting the proper name then clicking on down. For Example: usually you will note you server name, click pass this you will note a network folder or anything else till your folder is displayed.
• Once this has been done select ok, then done till you are back on the main screen.
Now click on the send key, and then click the one-touch button key, it is best to now see the switch you created.
Putting together Scanning to an email address contact information on a Canon Copier:
To do this you must enter a SMTP address in the Canon Copier. Also the Canon Copier need a valid outgoing email address contact information, please see your IT administrator for all this information.
This setting menu can be found under settings key:
• Multi-level settings
• Go through the down symbol
• Click E-Mail/iFax
This page is where you insert your SMTP and out going email address.
Troubleshooting:
Well-known issue that stops e-mails from leaving the Canon Copier is incorrect Default Gateway and DNS. Make confident your IT administrator comes with set these up properly. . It was really cheap (you can get it for around $30 during those times) and it may well print in color that's a rarity in those days. But after spending some time in the market, the Canon BJC-210 developed into a problematic printer. Even the most patient of a user did not enjoy the nerve to set it up. It did gain superior sales though, and Canon made a decision to improve its ink jet printer line with better models that will yield better results.
