There are several bed frames available that are a divan/day base style with support to the back and sides with the bed, making it look similar to a sofa than a place to sleep.

This knowledge of having a smart bed double being a seating area is also advisable for students living within student accommodation where you've got one room for yourself, another option for students is investing in sofa bed or futon, the advantage being that if you carry out want people around after that you can fold it back up to provide more space. Again, a sofa bed can be a good option for a studio apartment for its functionality but it may not be the comfiest of beds on the globe.

If you've got bought a studio fat-free, or if your bedroom is specially small, it may be smart to do something more drastic not only to give you more space but doing so may increase the value of the property. A mezzanine can be a very clever way of going more storage space for a small bedroom and can create a whole new area for living area. A mezzanine is a great intermediate floor constructed between the main floors of some sort of building, in a single room, how much room a mezzanine can give you is entirely influenced by the height on this ceilings, the most common practise may be to place a mattress and bedroom up on the "second" floor giving you a new bedroom with the alcove area which they can display for wardrobes or units. However, how well a mezzanine will work is entirely dependent upon the length of the existing room and acquiring a good architect, and if anything just raising your bed to chest height offers you enough extra space to put in some high quality storage.

If your bedroom holds too small for this then another option can be a Murphy's pull down bed; a bed that will likely be hidden vertically inside a cupboard but may then be pulled down to a horizontal position for going to sleep. The benefit of this obviously being that when the bed is disguised . away, duvet and just about all, the bedroom can transform into a living area giving you the most effective of both worlds. Murphy's beds are most suited placed in a cupboard unit that stretches an entire wall so you can have the bed and wardrobes on either side, so that when vertical there's no hint of a bed at all.

If you can fit a bed into your room, and some sort of sofa, but not really your clothes or your CD's you'll be able to purchase a divan bed with drawers underneath, or as suggested above find the money for a second floor to be built under which you can use for storage or if you happen to simply cannot afford that invest in under bed storage with somewhere like IKEA that specialise in affordable room or space saving solutions.
