This is such a tiny niche thing it seems, but here it is for those with an interest....
Next week 4 students from the U. of Washington will be in my classroom to try out a new piece of software they've developed for the XO.
We'll have a total of 8 XO's in the room. I'll be at the "teacher" XO, and my class will be at groups at the others. I'll be distributing content to them. They'll be reading it, discussing, and answering questions via "ink" or text on the slides they see. They'll shoot content back to me, and I'll send them more.
VERY cool concepts. Dry run is in a couple days, live event is in a week.
It is oh so exciting to be involved with people like this, pushing the envelope, with vision - and expertise that comes from fearless exploration. Their website, wiki, etc, etc, can be all found by starting here: http://xo.orderedpixels.com
Hi all. Thanks for dropping by. I hope this forum will be a good place to exchange ideas and share experiences using the XO laptop (http://laptop.org) in the classroom.
I'm a third grade teacher in Seattle, and I'm lucky enough to have 4 XO laptops in my classroom right now. My kids and I are having an amazing time with them - currently we are still in an exploration stage...
If you have a minute to introduce yourself and indicate what your interest in the XO laptop is, please do so by replying to this message. Thanks! - Mark
