Laurie's first book Speak is fast becoming a classic in Young Adult Literature. She has quite a range with several historical fiction books (Fever 1793, Chains) and even picture books based on history (Thank You, Sarah: The Woman Who Saved Thanksgiving). We're doing a virtual author study, reading one of her books a month and meeting in the Bookhenge to discuss it. We'll culminate the study on April 27 when we meet virtually with Laurie herself.
