I use yahoo for class as well as personal use. I do not use it for specific individual e-mails but I use it for mass group e-mails.

For people who don't want to pay for specific things, people post items from all different areas that they are giving away for free.

craigslist provides local classifieds and forums for jobs, housing, for sale, personals, services, local community, and events

I use you tube for multiple purposes: to find information that is attached with a visual, research for class, tips on specific topics, news, and just for laughs.
