How to use a digital signal controller (DSC) to drive a high-brightness RGB LED for a pixel... - 1 views

  • ionela

High-brightness RGB LED popularity for lighting applications is increasing as the cost of these devices becomes more attractive. However, this type of component brings different design complexities when compared to regular LEDs. To efficiently drive high-brightness LEDs, a switched power supply is required and a color mixing algorithm must be implemented. This article describes a simple application in which a digital signal controller (DSC) is used to drive a high-brightness RGB LED for a pixel board, several of which are connected on a network to create an RGB matrix.

I can't imagine why del.icio.us didn't work?!!?!?? I like diigo, but untill they give me all my links in a toolbar I still need del.icio.us...
  • At first glance, Diigo seems all over the map. The service offers bookmarking, highlighting of text within a page, commenting on a site for others to see, sending options, groups for networking and much more.
  • Diigo has been made as user friendly as possible by its developers

When I developed a TV project, something strange really bothered me for weeks. The CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) TV project was based upon a Philips 8051 TV microcontroller with on-chip OSD (On Screen Display) and Tuning features. The software was running on my emulator without any problems. So our customer decided to launch pilot production...

AMD's very own self-proclaimed bad boy Ian McNaughton took a direct swing at NVIDIA and The Way it's Meant to be Played program today in a blog post that is worth taking a look at. Ian calls out some issues with several TWIMTBP titles, which is something you don't see being done everyday. If you already own or are thinking about getting Batman: Arkham Asylum, Need for Speed: Shift or Resident Evil 5 then you might want to see what Ian is upset about.

Extra Notes for Kirin3 Labs from Freescale - 0 views

Freescale offers many documents for its latest connectivity microcontroller Kirin3, MCF52259. I believe most of the people will start to evaluate the labs without reading the documents. I am one of these guys who hate reading documents. However, it is worth to read the document if you have no experience on CodeWarrior and ColdFire.

Your Stolen Data Is Worth Nothing | Gadget Lab from Wired.com - 0 views

  • identity thieves aren't getting nearly as rich off of your stolen or "misplaced" data as they used to
  • Because of the falling U.S. dollar, and (I'm guessing) a population racked with debt, European identities also tend to be worth a lot more than the American equivalent.

Who Wins with the Google App Engine? - 0 views

  • The advantages to the developer is they don’t have to worry about the very complicated system architecture issues that usually require a brilliant IT engineer to solve. Instead they can focus on writing the code.
  • It’s dead simple. Amazon’s services still require a lot of very technical IT knowledge to utilize
  • When they open it to PHP, a ton of PHP developers will flock to it. It will be free, or at least very cheap, and much easier to manage then a shared host or a dedicated server.

A cool video from a guy who is developing a MySpace Iphone App based on the Facebook iPhone App. What is interesting is that the MySpace social network is so valuable that some users are willing to go to great lengths to use it despite it's lackluster interface. Also interesting that open APIs make it possible for users to customize a service to their own needs
