ATPM 7.05 - Review: Datahand Professional II - 0 views

  • The Keyboard

One of the ways the Datahand helps to reduce RSI-related pain comes through requiring far less finger movement to type than do other keyboards. Each finger rests in a “well,” sort of akin to the “home row” on a traditional keyboard, except that the finger never has to leave its well. Each finger has five keys assigned to it, pressed by moving the finger north, south, east, west, or pushing down. Since a regular keyboard just uses one kind of finger motion (down) as opposed to Datahand’s five, the Datahand allows a greater variety of finger motions, reducing the repetition that can aggravate certain kinds of RSIs.

Hulu - Video Panel or Personal Widget - 0 views

  • The Hulu Video Panel lets you select your favorite Hulu show to place on your blog or social network profile page. It updates
automatically so you can easily keep track of recently added episodes and most popular clips. Selecting a video from the panel
will link you back to Hulu.com to watch the video. With the webmaster version, you can watch content directly from your site from
a player that pops up on the page (JavaScript required).

Social Web Blog: A social bar for your site - 1 views

  • he Social Bar has the same bug as the previous gadgets had -- every interaction (i.e. click) generates a new item in a browser's history, so moving back using the browser's Back button becomes almost impossible soon.
  • ...11 more annotations...
  • Tried it with Wordpress and failed. My theme crashed when I copy the code into the html.
  • @Monty, the code for the social bar should go in the body of your HTML.
  • Here are the differences of the Top and Bottom:
Top - the social-bar is part of your site, when you scroll, it goes up with the rest of your site.
Bottom - the social-bar is on top of your site, when you scroll, the social-bar stays with you.

When installing, either Top or Bottom, be sure to have an adjustment of 35px, because the Social-Bar will not push your content up or down automatically, to give way for itself.
  • I just added the bar to the bottom of my blog.

  • I already have a Google Friend connect widget in my Blog. Is adding this social bar is a repetition?

@Saravanan, it's really up to you to decide if you want to use the social bar to compliment the other gadgets or use it alone. For the Social Web Blog, we've decided to use it in conjunction with other gadgets in the sidebar.

How to setup Friend Connect for Blogger Blogs. Friend Connect is really cool and can be setup on almost any kind of page to keep all your social networks contacts and activity connected at all times. I am just checking it out now but it looks very cool. Google Wave will be out soon and should also have this functionality.
