Temple University has a great number of undergraduate courses that students can decide on. The University is considered one of Philadelphia's premier higher learning institutions and enrollees the opportunity to earn a well-respected amount. One of their undergraduate programs that many students partake in is a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology proposed by the College of Open-handed Arts.

The Psychology Department at Temple University has a strong commitment to the two scholarly and scientific virtue. It is housed in Temple's Weiss Hall in the University's main campus. The Department houses distinguished faculty members which were awarded as such. Students who are considering pursuing a degree in Psychology should remember that Temple's Bachelors degree program in Psychology is one of the nation's most widely known for clinical and developing psychology.

Within the undergraduate program of Psychology there are several levels of instruction. In the introductory level, generally the 1000-level courses, the goals for scholars are to familiarize themselves while using the discipline as it relates to both the social and also the natural sciences. Students are expected to gain knowledge of basic descriptive statistical applications. These introductory courses are meant as a way to ease students into this major program.

Courses that fall within the 2000 level are that will deepen the students' capacity work and learn within the field of psychology. In the Foundation level there comprises two sets of goals for students to meet. The first set of goals is designed for students' further development with critical thinking by reviewing conflicting claims, analyzing data, organizing research papers, and by becoming more experienced in the scientific process. The second set of goals ideal for students to be comfortable with the subject matter included in developmental/clinical/social psychology.

At the Advanced amount of classes, or the 3000 stage, students are required for you to select three courses that are either broad in nature or that focus in on a specific topic area such as clinical psychology. There is only one course available in the 4000 level, which may be the Capstone course. This course is some sort of four-credit intensive writing class that was established to aid students in integrating their knowledge base to help further develop their writing skills as well as synthesize the knowledge of their discipline.

Students are able to participate in an internship if they so choose. Students who participate in an internship can now experience psychology in the workplace, and given the opportunity to partake out in that field. Students are able to obtain an internship in the psychological areas of organization, applied behavior analysis, education, and clinical and counseling. Students can choose internships that allow them to work with autistic children as well much like probation officers. No matter what type of internship you are looking for you'll be able to find it.

Students who want to attend Temple University and take their undergraduate Psychology program are expected to pay a tuition rate of less than $14, 000 a year once they reside in state. Out of state students will pay a greater rate of over twenty thousand dollars a year. While the cost is normally significant many students will defray them by making an application for various loans and grants.
